now i want all of your suggestion on what step should be pick up to prevent the morality in politics. our politics and politician in india became selflish. how we can improve the present status of politcs.
i invitie your suggestion. plz
because i have to participate in a seminar on same topic. so your query will be helpful for me.

Politicians do not come from Mars. They like any other profession represent the society. Since they have high profile it is easy to find faults in their style of work. Otherwise the problem of immorality is wide spread through out the society. You can not isolate one segment like politics from rest of the society and hope to clean it up. In a democracy people get the Government they deserve. Let us all deserve clean Government and we will get it sooner or later.

If I had the honour of advising the constitution, probably I would induce high profile examinations/hurdles (something like merge of defence + civil exams to get brains, personailty and toughness !!) that would assess the candidates for becoming politicians.

Since our administrators (civil servants) and our saviours (defence ppl ) have to take such rigourous exams, politicians have even higher responsibilities for the nation and rrepresent india on global platform, then why not to get the best person out of our billion population. Atleast this method would eradicate a whole bunch of politically powered thugs and india would see more sensible leaders.

Though this idea might sound amusing, but the crux is that officers can be the politicians but how many of our politicians can take rigorous filter trail to be an officer??

dear subhash i am agree with u. i know that politics is necessary for a country. but u know in indian politician situation all parties gives the ticket only crupted man. then what can we do. They never introduce a honest and quallified person. all the candidate have a crimnal background. we have to elect from them.
so for this condition politics parties are responsible. they must give ticket to a hones person they public elect them.

by the way dear i appreciated with ur suggestion. thankyou.

thankyou for your suggestion.

In current situation, this is what u can do:
1) Dont vote for corrupt politicians
I have seen in many constituency, there are non career politicians who put up there name on ballot (including the famous Dharti Dhakel Singh types). Vote for them.
2) Put ur name on Ballot.

For future,
1) Ask for write in ballot option.
2) Strenghten right to information act.
3) Technology like EVM has reduced mischief in the voting process. More such technology should be encouraged to make the election system fair.

AAJ KE SARE POLITICIANS KO LINE ME KHADA KAR KE GOLI MAAR DO....this will be the best solution for all kind of problems.

with best regards

Just like in Amitabh Bachchans movie...i think it was inqlab.

Mukesh,

I think you meant 'instil morality in politics', which is not possible in India as Indians are basically weak and kow-tow before everyone who is something or has something. In every elections when names of candidates are announced, the first reaction of an average Indian is "so and so will definitely win because he is a 'moti assami'. We rarely talk of people who are good workers. Today, politics has become a business where people invest 2-3 crores and make as much as they can lay their hands on. I agree with Dana Ramji collect all those who have contested election till now, make them stand in ques in India Gate lawns and see what 'Bofors' can do to them. I was reading somewhere that recovery of all the money which has been looted by politicians and bureaucrates (another class which should be made to join their bosses in Indian Gate lawns) can make India either a tax free country for about a decade or will be sufficient to upgrade the infrastracture without availing any loans or levy of new taxes. But the million dollar question is who will do it ? Definitely, not the present generation of Indians as we cannot even separate two fighting neighbours because our mothers won't let us do that. (You must have seen when there is some fight in the neighbourhood, mothers of young people telling them "tu bheetar rahe, pare na mat jaiye)". Only a revolution in the country can get rid of corrupt politicians and we Indians have never been, are not and perhaps will not be one. It does not mean that we don't want revolution to come. Every Indian want. But at the same time, he want that if any life is to be sacrified for the sake of country, the neighbour's son should do so and his/her son should reap the benefits.
