Ye jo haadsa North-East Girls ke saath hua hai vo kissi ke saath bhi ho sakta hai....

Mere khayal sai ek Example set karne ke liye these Rapists should be killed in an encounter.....ye encounter kaise kiye jaate hain vo Delhi Police achhi tarah jaanti hai.....kyonki ki kaafi dafa Mujrim ko saja dene ke liye kanun main rah kar kaam karna bada mushkil ho jata hai.

Crime chaahe aurat ke khilaaf ho ya aadmi ke vo hai Siaraf Crime. Lekin ek baat dhyaan se dekhna Molestations aur RAPE kiske saath jyaada hote hain..of course females(na ki males ke against). Whatever are the reasons in such type of cases the females are at the receiving end. Us bechari ke upar social stigma aur lag jaata hai. Lekin bhai ek baat aur bolta hun main ke agar Rape ka aarop siraf kisi ko trap karne ke liye lagaya gaya hai to phir vo aurat sarasar galat hai.

Malik saab, I will say that its a good initiative on your part to bring this kind of a topic up for discussions, coz I guess most of these kinda topics are treated either in a tabuliodal way (reading 3rd page of the newspaper, giving some invectives to the rapist & the society, and then going back to take the last sip of the tea from the cup & then getting on with the normal life) or it is hushed under the carpet & never discussed in the family. I guess by doing this kinda of thing we are actually setting a time for a time bomb. I personally feel that it would be good if we provide to our children,what i prefer to call "moral sex education". thats is altogether a different topic hence I will not dwell on it here.

Secondly I believe that rape is much more henious crime as compared to murder, coz as the after effects of rape, the victim dies a death with every recollection of that incident, which we people as a society stick on their heads. Hence 1st of all we have to be very sympethetic with the victim, without her/him knowing that we are helping them an ounce extra.

Moreover I believe a rapist (irrespective of whether its he/she) should be given a punishment which is recursive in nature & which reminds him/her of the heinous crime he/she has commited, so that he/she also suffers every second the kind of mental trauma which his/her victim goes through.

For this my suggestions would be:

1. I will like to support Mr. Rajender, that we can reassig him/her a surname called "Balatkari" .

2. He/she should go through the same act which he/she inflicted on the victim, yes I guess he/she should be raped everyday for 2 months.

3. After that He/she should be made sexually inactive (as was mentioned by Sir G above) e.g by castrating the guy. So that he goes like a Bail rahter than a sandh ......

Is Death penalty the most severe punishment for punishing rapists? I don't think so. Capital punishment relieves the accussed of their sins in just a few seconds while the victims suffer pain all through their lives. Such criminals must be punished with maximum years of imprisonment like 100 or 150 years along with rigorous imprisonment or solitary confinement so that their lives on earth become hell making him experience the same amount of pain and suffering which they inflict on the victims. Besides, to err is human. If by mistake an innocent gets executed execution offers no remedy ! Media and other law enforcing agencies can also play their role by publishing the photographs and other details of the proved rapists. In additon, particulars of the rapist be publshed in all important pubic places. The fear, social stigma and humuliation of the rapist should be the right punishment. This will also create fear in other mischief makers.

You are right R K bhai saab.
After punishing them for so long, there would be not any chance of them, doing the crime again.
But they should atleast be bought out of the jail for 1-2 days a month - to sweep the streets (especially in their own areas) - so that they face every citizen in their area and feel the same humiliation.

Not Really...

I can understand the extreme views on an issue like 'Punishment for Rapists'.

In a country like ours, which is a Socialist, Secular & Democratic (meaning jiska jo jee mein aaye vo karo), what members want for rapists would never happen. It is only an angry mob, mostly consisting of the victims, their relatives & neighbours, who can catch hold of the rapist and kill him in broad daylight. Our judicial syatem is so impotent that the conviction rate in reported rape cases is less than 6-7%. The number of cases that go unreported are manyfold.

Personally I too feel that a rapist, as soon as he is identified, should be killed by the most painful means. But society doed not function as per my feelings or wants. Democracy, Human Rights, Society, Rule of Law, Innocent unless proven Guilty, Electoral Politics, Castesim, Communalism etc etc. Things are not going to change. I shall do community service, free of cost, if proven wrong.
