My friend has done B.Tech in Electrical Engg. through distace education from JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University which has already been approved by UGC & DEC as claimed by University. But now his application has been rejected by SSC Haryana citing the reason that it is invalid degree. So is there anyone to help him & guide him for further what action will he take to save his future.

Sorry to say that the above said degree is not recognised at all.

For any professional degree, the college must be approved by AICTE..
Like all medical colleges with Medical counsil of India.

Moreover there is no provision that one can do B.Tech thru distance education..i have also heard that some colleges in rajasthan they are doing so, BUT THAT ALL IS A FAKE PRACTISE...

Despite a BE (Civil Degree) which one can do from IGNOU after competing Diploma in civil and 2 years of work ex.

So one should consider approval from AICTE (most important) and then it must be recognised by some local university rather than UGC.

UGC has no such authority

sorry dear...it's not recognised AT ALL

But S.S.Goyat ji there are some institutes & Universities like BITS Pilani(Rajasthan),Thapar Institute of Engineering(Deemed University),Patiala(Punjab) & above all AMIE also not approved by AICTE but valid for employment in states & centre.JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth also UGC recognized university then why state govt. is not approving this.
