Dear All,
Let me think and commment.
Who are we to decide as to what is good for another human being? This case of mallika had been discussed earliler and it holds the record of sorts for maximum posts. On one side we talk about community developement and then waste our time in discussing whether a girl who has chosen film career should expose this much or that much.
It is very necessary to understand that in today's society people have more freedom to decide what they want to do. I don't understand what is the big deal in Mallika exposing. When Simi Grewal appeared naked in a film called 'Siddhartha' 20 or so years back, it was considered a piece of art because the film was a co-production with some hollywood reject. I saw the 'Oscar Night' the other night and every woman I saw on screen was no different than Mallika, as far as exposing is concerned.
And what about a girl athelte who has to wear minimum clothes to avoid resistance. Is that exposure? Come on give me a break.
My sincere advise to my friends on this site is to focus on issues that are urgent for the betterment of the community. And also remember if Mallika doesn't expose then a Chadda-Chopra-Chawla will, and we will all lap it up.
Everyone has a right to his/her opinion and people can disagree with me. But let us see things in a different light and let Mallika be what she is and wants to be. And actually it doesn't bother her. You become what you want to become.
Thanks and regards,
Lt Col JS Malik (Retd)
