RIDDLES -- Dimag ki batti jalao

The Camel and Bananas

You have 3,000 bananas and a camel which can carry at most 1,000 bananas at a time. The camel eats a banana before moving a unit ( let be meter, kilometer or so). You were asked to transport the bananas 1,000 units. What is the maximum number of uneaten bananas that you can move 1,000 units?

Camel eats a banana per unit without considering the load he is carrying, means if there is no load tahn also he will eat a banana per unit

Can be 534

Sanjeev Ji,
I work out as under:

1. First he transported all the bananas to distance of 200Km.
Now he has 2000 bananas.

2. Than he transported remaining bananas to a distance of 333KM.
Now he has 1001 banans.

3. Than he transported all the bananas to the destination i.e. 467KM
Now at the destination he has 534 bananas (1001-467)

If this is wrong, please correct me.

yes sir, i think your answer is correct only.. :)
when i tried to solve this, i missed the fact that Camel eats a banana before it moves And i was solving it in segments of 200, 334 and 466 which was obviously wrong!!!

Ya Dharampal ji, yr ans is correct and logical, i have one more solution and request yr comment.
1000 banana ,camel eats 1000 banana first and than 1000 bananas are loaded than reachs the destination. (forget about bal 1000 )

Have u logic???

There r 100 coins.Out of them 20 have heads up and 80 tails up.A blind man told to make 2 part(equal or unequal) of coins such that each part have same number of heads up.How he manage to do it??If u have answer for this then tell me.

Simple: He will take any 20 coins in one heap and will turn over all of these...
and hence both heaps will have equal numbers of heads.

In terms of equations:
1. two heaps one with 20 Coins another with 80 Coins. (irrespective of how many heads up.
2. Let there are x number of HEADS in first heap (of 20 Coins). so there are 20-x HEADS in 2nd heap.
3. After flipping (over) there will be x TAILS and 20-x HEADS, which is equal to the number of HEADS in 2nd heap.

try it....

there is a rope of 1 meter length.u have to make boundry with this rope.U have to cover as much area as possible.how will u make it??
achchhe se try karo and apne -2 view batao ya kah sakte hai ki ki dimag ki batti achchhe se jalao..

A circle with radius r such that 2*pi*r is 1 m, will have a maximum area enclosed!!

as far as COVERED area (by the rope) is concerned that depends on the diameter of the rope which is not defined in the problem !!
! :p :D

Sunil bhai dimeter of rope is not a point of concened here...

it is not just a mathematical ques..lets think it in other way..there r 3 person who told to cover tha maximum area with the help of 1 meter rope..first made a square ,2nd a circle but 3rd still wons..so u have to tell how he win..
sab apne-2 way mai socho...
answer is very interesting..i will tell u but before i tell u have to do some exercise of mind..

Gola bana ke beech mein khada ho gya saari duniya cover ho gayee except the area inside where he is standing

bus bhaai Tomar, kade 11-12vi class mein padhya tha ek "for a fixed perimeter, an infinite sided polygon i.e, circle will have a maximum area." bus waa baat yaad aaggi thi. :)

er ibb aage dimag kaam kare bhi konya... bcaz i see no problem in 'circle'.

Good one bhaai Rakesh, going your 'way'.. ek sumbahu tribujh bana er usmein khada hho jya... aur faltu area cover howega!!! :p

i mean triangle will cover 'least' (and Hence maximum) area!!! :)

baat ek e hai ghane mathematics ke tarike tein na soche saareteri dhal padhaniye na the meri dhal nakal maraniye ghane the

Sanjeev Ji, the term used in puzzle "The camel eats a banana before moving a unit". shows that it does'nt matter what camel eats before starts. During transportation it will eat a banana before moving a unit. Hence in the given instance you will have only one banana at the destination.
