Dear jatlanders,

There are lot of reasons why India stands distinct as a country------cultural conglomeration,variety in spices,festive fervour or mixed languages!!!!

So as the country celebrates its 59th Independence Day,I want all of you to share some notes on what makes India-------a truely different experience

well, clinging on to d tricolor n participating in d monotonous cacaphony dusnt help either..so, contribute a lot- coz a 'bit' is nt goin 2 b of any help 2 OUR india nyways!

we should do our part instead of looking over the shoulder and see what other person got for the country but certainly calling india as land of beggers wont suffice any thing whatsoever. we should be careful with our words

Deepshika, u are trying to frame the negative aspect why cant you look into the positive aspect too.......
The culture and the history of our country is what makes me proud to be an Indian. This is a land where God Chose to be reincarnated,so to be born here is blessing in itself.
Be it our traditions,values,spices or sensitivity ---everything's unique.

Prashant, try to read the text carefully before u comment....I said what makes India feel a different experience from others.....I hope u understand......

Its my motherland n thats enough....to love n to be proud of!

bomb blasts, train accidents ,,floods,,droughts,, bribe,, dowry,rapes,,:o

but nthing could shake the soul of indians.... we r born tough n will fight till the last saans :p

India..all about festivals and the days off we get...lucky we..:D .(thanks to our million Gods..;) ):D

instead we shud be willing to contribute rather then asking people to do what they shud or they shudnt.......anyway.........what is your contribtion for your motherland........can you honestly count on what has the nation got from you.......with a true spirit.........

hmmm,,,, dolly ,,, saari haan positive asp bhi naa deekhya kartey,,,kyu iss gulaboo ke paachey paard gayi tu :p ,,,,,, positive pictures cm out frm the negatives developd in a dark room .. so if u find urself in a dark place,,, understand dat life is working,,,,, India is working..............:p

madari likhna bhuul gayi gulaboo tu ....:p....aur dolly tu too bina baat kaali maan gayi,,,,, ,,,, itni ey to switzerland ki population hoogi,,, aur itne hi India mein bhikaari,, saapeley aur madari sein........:p;)
 
Hmmm.....though concentrating on the negative is not always the protocol and we are always encouraged to only look at the best the Nation has to offer: I think Deeps has a point...
So, although I wouldn't word it that exact way; but come to think of it-what is that a visitor sees the first time he steps off the plane in this Country, anywhere anyways?...

But having said that, I too shall conform here as the thread demands, and so my take on what makes India unique:

#Is it's color, everywhere; the dresses, walls, traditions... even in the villages...the more rural you go the brighter and merrier it is....

#It's huge population and masses...that seems to swamp you everytime....like you are virtually always outside some movie theatre and the show just got over...

#It's amazing versatility; there have been numerous reports/articles on what really makes the country throb and thrive, it's surreal growth against all odds, the different cultures, languages, dresses, it's population, brain power, intelligence.....but no one knows the exact answer! Like they say: yeh desh to bhagwaan bharose hai!' I don't know it it should be taken neccessarily in a derogatory way.....because the matter of fact is; all the negatives and adversities notwithstanding; it still shakes, shuddres but lumbers forward without a break in step!!!
 
Yes...Deeps is right....on Tuesday on a red light a child came with a bowl and Hanuman's picture in it....and says Sheron wali mata ke naam pai kuch de de....arr mai boli Sheron wali maa ki fotu tai dhar le....Beggars abhi poori tarah professional nahi huay hain....:D

Ek din ek gora (here in Aust) bolya mere te ak tere desh mein to saare bhukhe nange log hain,main bolya jitni tere dess ki total population se na utne to mere dess ki Jailaan(in prisons) mein free ki roti khaa hain ar wo bhi 3 time.Uska munh nyu paattya rahgya---->:eek: .

Actually there is so much gap between the entire thought process and the precption of these people, they would never ever be able to comprehend what India and its people are all about...jo us mitti main rahega wahi jaan sakta hai...:)
