Hello,
I am starting this thread to collate scams which are not highlighted in the mainstream media under Modi govt properly due to various reasons. Modi govt vociferously claim about corruption free government however under the surface nothing has changed. Corruption is happening in an organised manner by industrialists in many ways. Media is quite busy in changing public discourse to distract public from main issues such as healthcare, education, employment, corruption, and plight of peasant communities. Agriculture is in shambles and farmers are committing suicides but govt and media are busy in discussing cow, dung, cow urine, Pakistan etc.
Media run by industrialists is busy in shifting public attention from real issues like crony capitalism and corruption. A section of media which tries to highlight corruption get targeted by govt agencies to keep mouth shut. Well renowned Journalists like Paranjoy Guha are being slapped with lawsuits by Adani groups for reporting about Modi govt favoring Adani group which is costing taxpayers thousands of crores.
In this thread, I will try to highlight such issues as I come across them so that people know about how cleverly this govt is favoring corporates who run this govt. I would also encourage and urge fellow members to highlight similar frauds, scams which are not being highlighted by the mainstream media.
It's no secret that Modi used Adani group sponsored chartered planes during 2014 general election campaign. As corporate fund parties to contest elections, parties in return favor them by tweaking rules and regulations accordingly which costs tax payers billions of dollars. Such corruption is not being highlight anywhere in the mainstream media as media is also run by same corporate who don't want anything to be exposed and secretly keep public busy in arguing about Cow, Dung, Urine, Pakistan, Kashmir, JNU etc. Public keep on suffering and voice of dissent is being muzzled.
