I cleared SSB interview for Army in Dec 04 and I think the pattern is more or less same for the Airforce too. At SSB, to clear the first phase you will have to face questions related to general & mathematical reasoning and quantitative aptitude etc and one picture perception test will be given to you in which you will be shown a picture and will be asked to write an imaginary story on it within 4-5 minutes and after that a group discussion will be held and stories of all candidates are heard and a group story is framed in the end.

If you clear these test you will stay for rest of the tests else you will have to leave ! The underlying judging criteria is your positive approach (that must also reflect in your story writing and further discussion) and confidence.

In case of airforce, there is yet important test which you will have to clear which is PAPT (Pilot Aptitude Perception Test). Though I dont have idea about this test but in my opinion its a test to evaluate basic skills which a pilot must possess. Its a test you will have to take on some specially designed model.

dear sujan singh, most important is to be "what you are". do not tell lie. if you do not know the answer to a question, just say sorry- i do not know. they appreciate truth. if you are qualified to take your test then you do not need any special training. be confedent. you will pass. god bless. lcdr.beniwal
