self praise

Had to add a small point:

I guess it makes sense to present yourself well and true in front of people (even unknowns).
A bit of bluntness , a tinge of arrogance , straight talks helps i believe.

This is something I will try and add on my repertoire! :)

1. On self side, everything can have a positive side. self praise can often be used to set standards for yourself and then live up to those standards of performance and conduct.

I don't think self-appreciation needs audience, whatever we do we do for ourself and self-satisfaction is what we seek.
If we are talking about setting standards then i guess "bitter words" works as good as "sweet words". challenging our selfs do not need to blow our own trumpets...

coming to the main point: what we should do with people like that, we make rationale choices in life, so either you can tell them on their face that this is what you do not like about them and face the music! or accept/reject them as they are...I would personally choose the second option.

:)i knew that i can not afford to loose that friend so i started telling her indirectly that whatever she is doing not acceptable with me.so she got the message and at least stopped doing that with me. now we talk less but atleast whenever we talk its with positive feeling and appreciation for each other.thanku u all who has guided me through this.its very easy to break a relation but i wanted to try on my part to fix the thing which was bothering me bcoz i knew my friend loves me and cares for me so am i.i did not want to hurt my friend thats why i was in this dillema.
