Bahaur badihya lage sabke alag-alag, ya milte-julte vichaar

Kisi bhi baat ke liye concern dikhana/rakhna open-minded thought mein include hota hai

Jis din ye education curriculum mein add kar di jaayegi uss din bhag-bhag kar padhaenge sab apne bacchon ko, lekin abhi unknown bacchon ki baat hui to sab apne vicharon se simit ho gaye

Spoon-feeding karne ko koi nahin kahta, agar yahi hota to aaj iss education ke baare mein socha hi nahin jata

And please don't restrict the meaning of this education upto the limits of science taught till 10th std.

Ok:), Even now parents teach and prepare their kids about the pros and cons of getting indulged in unsafe and undesired sexual activities, it may include issues like, pre-merital, post-merital etc. Even now these things are taught and explained by the parents in a subtle and discrete way its not that these are not explained. Parents do teach that dont harass and have respect for girls/females. Now it depends up on the complete grooming of the kids and the kind of environment they have seen.

Padhaane ko to itne saare subject hain schools/colleges mein, you tell how much students are able to retain the knowledge and same is the case with moral values, jaise Sanskaar shuru mein daal diye vaisa hi result aayega and there would be some who will give a damn to the values

What do you want to include in the carriculam of Sex Education please elaborate

'Moral Science' is a subject in many a schools but this period is often a synonym for a 'Free Period' - sad but true !

Well, I am nowhere talking about moral science rather I wanted to point out that we Indians are still far away from being able to rate moral science/sports/creative activities etc classes at par with the classes of other subjects.
More so, these classes are often regarded as secondary/ less important/unnecessary/just a formality by the students, the parents as well as the school representatives.

So, adding another name to this in the form of 'Sex Education' classes will be of no use unless there happens to be a radical change in the mentality and outlook of the people at large.

As rightly contented by Neelam, this is an important subject but an important subject to be taught to masses requires an adaptability level to the belief of the masses at large, which this subject fails to cater too till now!

Whatever we call it Moral Science or Naitik Shiksha, thing is that it should be taught with seriousness.

The subject which is already in place should not require any atrractive name like Sex Education. :rock

Baaki baat aisi hai hum to Vivek Dhankhar bhai ki baat se sahmat hain ki kam se kam logo ko naukri to milegi,,,,,,Jan-Kalyan ho raha hai to kya nuksaan hai

I think ppl should make up their mind to accept the sex education and goverment should take indispensable steps to make it compulsory but the question is : what is the right age to teach children about sex ??Sex education in early age (8-9th standard) could drift the natural momentum of children;) ...May be they become too much crazy about this education and focus all their attendtion and intelligency in understanding this subject leaving off other subjects as Maths, Science just like trash:p . So i guess that 11-12th standard might be a better choice  bcz in this age children as well as their parents are much beware about their future and carrier so chances of additional exercises besides the theoritical education are lower .:rock.

Dear Arvind don’t you think question is enough to start this thread?? I suppose it’s appropriate to add some lines in your topic of thread to give this thread a right and meaningful direction. I guess that make some sense in here…

I'm not responsible for designing the curriculum, if ever I get appointed for the same, then for sure I'll do the best....So this machine hasn't stop working or thinking.

What all Sweta talked about is acceptable. Considerations are not at par, benefits and profit making is the aim left at schools. This personal experience I had from DPS admission procedure.....aur fir wahi baat, aisa bekar system banane waale log khud hote hain.....atleast not like us, who all love to struggle, and find the way on their own as per the potentials and capabilities.

And I feel proud for my brother, who very straight forwardedly said to the DPS principal when first he was shown as disqualified in the admission test, though he was not as they had no reasons for that, not even showing the answer sheets......he was in std. 8 and his words were...."Sir, maine issi school mein aana hai" and he made it there after his 10th boards with his good score and by competing all the students from faridabad applying in the same school. So, values bhi parents se hi taufe mein milti hain......that's what my brother proved to them without asking parents to pay heavy amount of bribe to get his admission....balki fees se bhi relaxation mila b'coz of his good scoring and performance.

So I feel pity for those children whose parents always add their extra efforts to give their child best place as per their liking or to show the status but not by their performance or other basic requisites. And due to these parents only, children lack value sense.

Rahi baat job milne ki in the specialisation of sex education....I feel ki you all are writing/sharing at JL b'coz you might be thinking of the post of moderators.....aise to aap sochenge nahin kisi baat ko, faaltu mein:rolleyes:....issliye main chahungi ki aapka ye lakhshya jaldi pura ho

Let me assure you, it is not leg-pulling. Just that I didn't find it open-minded. Again, there is no leg-pulling.

Very simple it is....I never go for the complexities but try to find the meaning in its simplest form....Open-mind wo hota hai to kisi bhi acchi baat ko soch sake, samjhe aur fir usse accept/reject kare khul ke...People getting dressed in trendy style cannot be called open-minded if they don't know the reason to carry such dress....so inner feelings/thoughts are the important requisites and should be always accompanied with reason, otherwise what sense it makes is very clear.....Just like what Mr. Arvind did....Writing only one sentence ques. to start the thread and when asked, then coming out with his originality which he might be feeling hesitant to put-up while asking his question.

No personal offences with u Mr. Arvind, I just took U as the example to write what I felt. Some day you might be taking me as the example, so please don't get hurt by that. Thoughts always vary and will remain with this variant factor. But, you have the full right to comment on the same with reasons. :)

A gud reply. Loved reading that. This post needs an applaud so here is mine :)

Wanna append one more thing, using 'sex' word hundred times doesnt mean I am broad minded. Also, u shudn't avoid it wherever required but everyone has his/her own way to express things so cant complain anyone on this :)
