Sex ratio in Haryana

Its an alarm bell for people from Haryana!! To the Khaps too. I support the Khaps but not in killings.
It should be seen as a learning for all Taus.
Other caste and state people are allowing their girls to be wed in Haryana, so why not allow the Haryana girls outside their castes.
 
Naseeb ji report me jo likha hai ki ladkiya shadi k liye other states like bihar, aasam, west bengal se layi jati hain, ye bilkul sahi likha hai.
bhai ek baat aur notice karna ki jin ladko ki job ni lagi hoti vo he aise karte hain.
kyuki bina job haryana me koi bhi apni ladki ki shadi ni karta.
so last option ladko k pass yehi rehta hai.

ye case maine khud haryana me 2-3 jagah dekha hai...........

Bhai sahab apki iss baat se bilkul sahmat hu ki jo pade likhe nahi hai arr umar dalan laag ja hai tab hi aise kaam kiye jaate hai....but uske baad unka khaana to kharab ho ja hai...fer we kit k chaudri rah ja hai...

isn't this the attack to honour of jaat community....kaal ne koi nyu b kah dega ki...thaare byah to honde na...biharana ne pakad k byah karo ho....

mera ye question un khap walo k liye hai jo honour killing karan laag re hai....nyu rupiyaa me byah kar k to Jaata ka khub naam roshan hon laag ra hai...

lekin iska ye matlab bhi na hota ki same gotra ya gaam ki gaam me e shadi karan lag ja................
har cheez apni jagah thek hai........... ye main b manta hoon ki khap walo honour killing ko support karte hain vo galat hai.

Bhai inn khap aur taun ka kya kasur hain inme??? They never say that one should go for feticide when its a girl , dont go by media reports. Goto rural areas the sex ratio is not that bad compared to all haryana ( its the average), its in the cities where the self proclaimed educated people stay. Question should be asked who brought the technology to idnetify after which one was able to identify the sex in the fetus?? Ye kin hospitalon mein hote tha??
Aar Bhai aap jo keh( shadi outside caste) rahe ho apne tain lagu karo kya pta log follow karne lag jaye because its individual choice and u may set an example.
 
For those who are concerned about declining "Sex ratio" in Haryana or for that matter anywhere in India - get some time to see an old but relevant movie named "Matrubhumi - a nation without woman".

I was amazed to see this movie, eye opening and thought provoking both.

I saw another movie sometimes back named "Rivaj"/"Riwaj" ...it's somewhat based on the true story of some villages in Haryana/other parts of India where there is a "rivaj" of offering their gals/bahus to sex seekers and it's their traditional line of business.

Somebody not aware of or believing about what I said above, have a word with your friends or elders who can tell as where exactly these customs are observed (openly or under the veil).

On the other hand India claims to be a developed country with GDP "xyz" % and bla-2. Every other day, you pick any news papers and there are news of rape, extortion of women starting from infants, pregnent ladies to old women; no female is spared if left alone. India is progressing and deserves permanent UNSC seat, definitely.

P.S. Pardon my signature, life is not beautiful when come to think of such pathetic news!!

I predict the following events in 10-15 years:
Girls will be in high demand for marriage. Perhaps they will get more respect (rightfully due from a long time).
Lots of inter-caste marriages since a shortage of girls within your own caste.
Increase in same-sex couples or men staying unmarried for life. (This is already happening in China).

That Rivaj movie was not based on haryana villaage. Such Rivaj is present in a few communities In Bihar and Rajasthan (that I know of). In Rajasthan , near Jaipur there are still 2-3(about) villages where this actively happen. Anyway Sex ratio is a different issue and isnt linked to this. For such communities, girls are more desired than boys for obvious reasons. They might kill a baby boy but never a baby girl :)
 
When Carla Bruni worshipped for a son at Chisti Dargah on her recent visit to India, it made front page news in most national dailies. None criticised her for son-preference. But none of these dailies misses an opportunity to criticise Haryana on same issue.

Also, it is not only the small town people who have this preference for male child. It is everywhere. My daughter has 17 girls students in her class of 47 and she and a girl from Manipur are the only ones who are single-girl-child.

Abhi ladke ko dahej diya jata hai aane wale time mein ladkiyan bahane k liye ladko walon ko dahej dena padega.

Carla Bruni could be an exception (which she has been famous for). In developed Western countries like France, there is hardly any preference for a male child. Girls are equally sought after and get all respect after birth. This preference is most prevalent in India with Haryana in the lead - and may be in some Islamic countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh (not sure). Even in some underdeveloped African countries, girl child is much sought after.

लड़कियों के असंतुलित अनुपात के कुछ कारणों में एक मत्वपूर्ण कारण है समाज में नैतिकता का लबादा ओढ़े हुए कुछ दरिन्दे जो लड़कियों को अपनी दरिंदगी का शिकार बनाने का कोई अवसर नहीं गवांते. हमारे अपने समाज में नैतिकता की दुहाई देने वाले न जाने कितने असामाजिक तत्त्व छेड़खानी और बलात्कार जैसे अपराधों में लिप्त पाए जाते हैं. लड़कों के झुण्ड बसों , कालेजों, मार्केट में जहाँ भी लड़की अकेली दिखी वहीँ भूखे भेड़ियों की तरह मंडराते नज़र आते हैं और मौका मिलते ही वार कर देते हैं. इसलिए लड़की हमारे समाज में एक बहुत बड़ा दायित्व समझा जाता है.

There is nothing wrong in discussing that topic. History has been evident of the fact that prostitution exists in our country and still existing in India .And pimps are running their businesses. Legalization will help in getting rid of those pimps and will give rights to sex workers who are being harassed and discriminated by these pimps. Whats wrong in discussing it.

Bhai Satyeshwar, wish your prediction is right about the "rightfully due respect which they deserve" but I doubt it. Girls are and will always be in demand for marriage and so are the boys, but concern is about the skewed gender ratio. Unless and until our very own psyche stop considering gals inferior, they won't command that due respect. Moti si baat agar dekho to jo samman ham ladke valo ko de hen, vo a ijjat jab ladke aale chhori aalya ne den laagenge jab jaake kite baat sudregi. But in a male dominated society like ours, it looks distant dream!!

Coming to intercaste marriages, yes these would be multiplied manyfold. Your comment about "Increase in same-sex couples" - bhai espe thoda or gyan vardhan karo. Mere kam samaj me aayee baat. I heard/read that's it not because opposite gender is not available so people turning gays & lesbians. It's something to do with inborn natural tendencies and it was & will be there always with such people irrespective.

"men staying unmarried for life" - For sure, either people will stay unmarried by their own wish or will be forced to observe bachelorhood (officially). In latter case, it might further add to chaos in society as it goes against "Maslow's hierarchy of needs" !!

Sex ratio is not isolated, see the bigger picture. Even if girl child survives, she is not evenly treated at par with boys. Either she is deprived of basic amenities like health services or higher education, particularly in villages. In many cases before she could come to her senses, she is done with married life and within a year time frame better off with a malnutritioned kid further adding to her miseries!!

Gist is, she is either smothered before she is born or screwed up afterwards!!

However not too disappointed at large as a large section of educated people are comin of age now, but even if come to know of single case, it hurts and should do to everybody's conscience.

Caveat: When you guys see SUKHBIR Siwach, Jagmati Sangwan, DR Chaudhary writing a post about Haryana/Jat, just take it as their own agenda combined with TOI other than journalism. Simply Ignore that. They are rotten loggerheads obsessed with *only* giving a bad name to the state/ Jats.

New census is on the way and sex ratio has been improved since previous census. I my self had posted those news here. Always cross check before believing on such ant sized brain intellectuals/reporters and their sophisticated supporters. It is the only grave insult they understand.
