Straight away take a written examination :

(pref objective as no one can question in awarding marks as happens in subjective pattern)
(Questions should be scientifically designed , avoiding repetition as seen in INFOSYS etc )
(Enough time should allotted to answer questions...Its Correctness we are checking )

Prepare a merit list & recruit accordingly.

Like done in all admissions IITs.....& seen best students get through.

In PUBLIC sector companies like DRDO , ISRO , Oil companies ONGC , BANKS , Insurance firms NIC ..etc

Remember even Prime Minister can't interfere in recruitments of DRDOs...etc

They all are in top gear and helping in developing economy.

NO PARTIALITY.
NO NEPOTISM ( favour to relatives / caste fellows ).

& above all why an individual be given right to choose?
Has he set up that MNC ?
Who is the one who will suffer if Interviewing Officer chooses MISFIT candidature , Officer has nothing to loose in-person !

What is the guarntee that GREED ridden Human Race will act above self interests ??

Lalu Prasad had abolished all interview processess in RAILWAYS....as he was under immense pressure from hugely populated BIHAR to recruit his state guys ...those guys were even ready to pay in LAKHS to get RAILWAY JOBS.

He knew INTERVIEW is the WINDOW to channelise graft / backdoor entries. He SHUTTED THAT WINDOW.

quite right bro...the reflection of the personality, confidence and potential in the commmunication can be observed by the interview. These are also the demand of private sector along with ur technical skill because u may have to be intract with clients. :)
 
Interview is used as a tool to judge personality of the candidate.Student who is brilliant enough to top university exam or even the written part of competitive exam may not be suitable for the job, excellence in written exam is not enough to judge your - pattern of thoughts, confidence,communication skills above all how you react in pressure situation.This is the reason why interviews are held.Interviews are subjective there is no multiple choices for answering any particular question,answers differ widely with your personality ,how you were brought up ,family background ,moral values ,believes etc but in many cases these interviews are gateways for undeserving rich candidates to secure their job or secure their position in merit list for admission at the same time interviews are also gateways for most deserving candidates.The jobs which require quick decision making,leadership qualities pay great emphasis on interview i.e. army ssb one of the most rigorous way of judging the personality .Still i think and also believe that interviews should be the part of selection procedure for jobs and admission.

I'm going off-topic here but I've to say this.
One of the most important reasons why India is not progressing. Nobody wants to do to government job coz of less money. jab desh ki company me kaam karna hi pasand nahi karoge to country ko khaak develop karoge??
And you people talk about "Threats from China and all".
Threat se bachaana hai to develop kare na missile koe jo seedhi china me ja bade er radar me aawe bhi nahi!!

DRDO, ISRO join kar er fer kuch karke dikha je itni e chinta hai to desh ki!

yaar rathi mere bhai don`t say like tht it hurts......... bcoz so many people including me have dreams to work in govt sector. At least don't say bullshit.

Is govt sector ki khatir 11000 sbi clerk post ke liye 33,0000 approx appication aayi hai.


civil services so called steel frame of India is also a part of govt sector.Go to mukherjinagar n u will see people studying 18 hours a day .

Na na bhai mera maltab ye naahe tha but hamare country me sabse corrupted loog govt. sector me heee hain that's why i said bull ****.
Aur baake Interviews to waahan bhi hoote hain after written.

Isiliye to bhai tujhe kaha tha join karne ke liye. Kuch pahad-vhad tod mere bhai ja ke ISRO me. Koe naya satellite bna. Bahar baithe-baithe gyan dena to sabne aawe se mere bhai. Je Itna bhunda laage se to Sudharta kyu nahi usne??
Er nahi sudharna to bhai galat words use mat kare uske liye.

Shuruat Ek se hi hoti hai. Tu kar shuruat fer dekh kyukar rella aavega terre pache-pache.

Na bhai taane galatfehme hooge mai shuruaat kaarne aalo me sa nu taane itna buuree laage mere baat to prove me wrong. I am happy in private sector and paying my tax as a good citizen and those ur govt. sector guys are using that money for their personal benefit.:cool:

If you can't be a starter then don't blame others for what they are doing. Aur bhai tax dekar aap bahut ehsaan kar rahe ho desh par. Kitna tax bhar de hai bhai? 10-15 lakh bhare se ke rathi bhai? tere tax me ek gareeb parivar ka mhina bhi na likde.

Ye private companies wale tax ke sabse bade chor hai. Satyam is a gud xample.
Coming to ur point, Govt sector ko corrupt kisne bna rakha hai bhai? Hmare jaise logo ne. wha bhi hmare beech me se hi koi baitha hai.
police wala pakad leta hai bina helmet ke to usko ftaak se 50/100 ka note nikal ke de dete hai. Kyu? Rules bhi todo aur fer rishwat bhi khud do. Aur fir badnaam wo ki wo rishwat lete hai. Dene wala kaun hai mere bhai?? Tu de hi mat. Parchi katwa aur 1200 bhar challaan ke tax bhare se to bhai:rolleyes:
99% of the people don't obey traffic rules in the country.

And its not MY GOVT sector. Wo sabhi ke liye hai. You are accusing those also who are not part of corruption in govt. sector.

Jab hum khud hi perfect nahi hai to dusro ke liye kuch galat shabd prayog nahi karne chaiye. It was my request, rest depends on you :). I didn't mean to offend you anywhere. Just my opinion :)

interview means to see inside a person that actualy ,what is he/she is.it is both way ,can be used to rejact diserving candidate (as in govt sector)can be used to selact the best one as in pravite sector.as i seen both of the world. in govt service only 20% are working,and they are the people who are runnig the show,rest are enjoying.i would like to tell you friends, one instance-one of my friend ask me to employee his brother -in- law in my firm.i called him for interview.when i saw his papers,i stunned, he was a B.E. gold madlist from a southern university and excelled in all the exams.But he was a big zero in every thing.he speaks only tamil,do not no anything about electronics.i kept him as electrical helper , and he was very happy doing odd jobs ment for labrours.and i used to face this type of stuff every week.so you can canclud that why interviews are there.
 
Every selection process must include three level of tests.. i.e. what you speak, what you act & what you think .. just like How it happens in SSB..
 
Interviews should be there everywhere.

If you know everything and top the written exam but still act like an idiot, doesn't make much sense in selecting you.

2 minutes of interaction with the aspirant can reveal more about him than the written tests.

Just my opinion.
