Well for me, If one wants to save any culture/custom, one should do so by making people compassionate about it and not by forcing it. If it needs to be done by force, I am against it. So I'll say I don't mind/care whatever people do. It's their lives and we are no one to ostracize or force people.

Bhai progressive community se duniya jalti ha.......puri duniya against hoke bhi jaton ka kuch nahin bigar sakti (agar jaton main ekta ho to)
 
@kusumji...... If u want to suggest for same gotra marriage outside villege.....then after sometime someone will suggest same gotra marriage in village also........
We have no right to destroy our culture.
 
I said I won't care for a culture which needs to be forced. and if it does not need to be forced, it won't die and so I don't worry about it.
 
This is not culture this is our belief. For us marrying in same gotra is like marrying with Paternal/Maternal cousins. There is law to nullify incest realtionship. Could someone tell me why we have such law. Why do people force it?

Also once its prohibited in law these people will stop discussing this on TV/paper . These things are not for discussion. This is like someone ask me "Would you marry your cousin" ?

Ya we should forget this case......nd we should concentrate oureself on how we can stop these things.
In my openion these cases may be stopped by social awareness from childhood only.

Hairs are at a lot of places. In fact in many cases they are not there at "top of the mind" place.

Not to offend anyone but just out of curiosity, Same gotra marriages are not gud because, the individual's of same gotra carry some specific gene which could be weaken in the offspring if parents are genetically realted. Hence, as per science diversity brings better offspring then why are we against of inter-caste marriages????

Also, wont that gotra thing apply to whole Jat community, I mean we carry some specific genes or expression of genes. Ain't it again same thing seeing from little high level. Ain't inter-caste marriage good solution for this problem.

This gonna happen dude ... sooner or later but will happen.
The question here is just like how long can we save petroleum or can we find some better alternative.
Time will bring all such change. There were no gotras when humans evolved from chimps and again there wont be any gotra in this liberal society 50-100 yrs hence. Sooner or later but for sure. You wont find Jats and Rajputs and yadavs ... You will find humans, just humans ( don know what will you guys call them, but still use 'humans')

Some people here are really sick. They can't think of anything but Jatnesss... Any other human beings seem to worthless to them and they use very freely very derogatory words for others.
Just be normal human beings and things will be much simpler..
I'll also be hopeful of a society that Devender mentioned. Full of Normal human beings.
 
Same gotra marriages are not allowed in many castes in north India, this problem has come up in Haryana, Haryana has jat CM, amendment can be done to this Act by the State also, I am 100% sure, if mr Hooda adventures to amend, He will be able to do & will be hero for not only jats but other communities of Haryana. Lateron it will be very easy for other effected states to do the needful. Dr R kumar, why donot you help in this matter, using your relation in the family, the community will be grateful to you also. Dr sahab atlist convey my this message to the CM. Col Fateh Singh

I would never ever end someones life for faux pride!! Why dont the ashamed ones end their own life to escape the 'shame' instead, I wonder!

Deep down, we all know (even the ones in favor of these killings) that iis all false pride. They certainly love their blood way more than the strangers in the same community, just arent brave enough to confront them! Intriguingly, they all sail in the same boat, what an irony!

There is a lot of difference between saying something and actually doing it but i agree that there maybe many who can do it.

Every human have a devil inside oneself, people with strong will power can kill the devil but weaker can not. They hide their weakness behind this psudo bravery.

How come someone kill his own kid whom he brought up day by day, month by month and year by year ?

How come someone can keep his head upright by killing his own kid ?

How come they forget the innocent smile of the infant when they do this act ?

Instead of feeling ashamed of these acts people are talking about the bravery and proud by killing their own kids.

This is really shameful and disgusting.
