"Breaking: Kapil Sibal's censorship bill to be called SOcial Networking Inspection Act (SONIA)".


Only reason is stated below:

"The controversy had arisen over a New York Times blog which reported that Mr Sibal had summoned legal representatives of prominent internet players (Google, Facebook, Yahoo and Microsoft), showed them "a Facebook page that maligned the Congress Party’s president, Sonia Gandhi" and told them, “This is unacceptable,” while asking them to find a way to monitor what was posted on their sites."

''BJP's Lok Sabha MP from Pilbhit, Varun Gandhi said Internet is the only truly democratic medium free of "vested interests, media owners & paid-off journos. Can see why Sibal wants to gag it," he said.

RLD MP Jayant Chaudhary, son of party chief Ajit Singh, also appeared to question the Telecom Ministry's move to ask Facebook and Google to evolve mechanism to ensure objectionable content on social networking sites are removed.

"Censorship of the internet - Forget the desirability issue for a minute, IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE??!!! Maybe Facebook, Google, etc will be asked to monitor/ remove offensive content, but what about the small blogs and vast numbers of websites that are too small to be checked?" he asked.''

The IAC revolution certainly seems to be one of the triggering things. I remember the mobile operators falling-in-line by blocking the services and SMS related to IAC movement, however despite of that, when the movement continued to surge electronically, the regime had to give-up.

Currently, the frustration in the regime is such that there are more IB people posted behind the patriotic 'Gandhians' than those behind terrorist organizations. It makes me wonder whether Taliban and likes are more dangerous for the nation than Manmohan, Sibal, Chidambaram, Pawar, Digvijay and Singvis.

There is lot of ambiguity in this matter. In fact it it very difficult to distinguish between a good content and an objectionable content. The content should be construed as contentious only if someone reports the write-up. There can be fool-proof mechanism without imposing a disguised blanket ban and issuing a threat to public. If the aggrieved party raises an objection, there must be a provision to investigate the matter by cyber crime bureau etc. So, this statement from the government was unnecessary and undesirable.

Yeh that's what these cyber crime agencies are for, and that's why they do not focus on terrorist threats, because they are all time busy with Sonia and Rahul's pictures on net. Shame that a minister is concerned about these than the real threat to common public.

संचार मंत्री कपिल सिब्बल और केंद्र सरकार इंटरनेटिया यारों के निशाने पर हैं। मंगलवार को सिब्बल की ओर से सोशल साइट्स के अशालीन कंटेंट को लेकर दी गई चेतावनी और निगरानी की धमकी पर लोग सख्त प्रतिक्रिया कर रहे हैं।

इनमें आम आदमी से लेकर खास तक सभी शामिल हैं। इनका कहना है कि सरकार विचारों पर सेंसर नहीं कर सकती और अभिव्यक्ति की आजादी को भी नहीं दबाया जा सकता।

ट्विटर पर सांसद चंद्रशेखर ने अपने ट्वीट में कहा कि क्या आप सोच सकते हैं कि संचार विभाग में कुछ नौकरशाहों को काम दिया जा रहा है कि वे इंटरनेट पर कंटेंट के बारे में फैसला करें कि यह सही है या गलत। मशहूर स्टाक ब्रोकर राकेश झुनझुनवाला ने तो यहां तक कह दिया कि मैं नहीं समझता कि सिब्बल को इंटरनेट की समझ भी है। जब आप संचार विभाग का मंत्री एक अधिवक्ता को बना देते हैं तो ऐसा ही होता है।

शेखर कपूर के अनुसार सोशल मीडिया पर हर व्यक्ति क्षमतावान और प्रभावशाली है। यह सरकार के रखवालों को डरा रहा है। इसी तरह बहुचर्चित लेखिका शोभा डे ने कपिल सिब्बल से सीधे कहा कि सिब्बल साहब, यह कदम इंटरनेट इस्तेमाल करनेवाले 10 करोड़ लोगों के विचारों पर सरकार सेंसर नहीं कर सकती और अभिव्यक्ति की आजादी को भी नहीं दबाया जा सकता। फिल्मकार कुनाल कोहली का कहना है कि सरकार की ओर से इंटरनेट को लेकर किसी भी तरह की सेंसरशिप अभिव्यक्ति की आजादी का गला घोंटना होगा।

नई दिल्ली त्न इस मसले पर भाजपा नेता एसएस अहलूवालिया ने कहा कि कपिल सिब्बल ने जिस तरह से चार कंपनियों- याहू, गूगल, फेसबुक और ट्विटर के प्रतिनिधियों को बुलाकर एक कागज पर दस्तखत करने के लिए कहा, यह तरीका ठीक उसी तरह है जिस तरह सरकार ने बाबा रामदेव को बुलाकर उन्हें एक कागज पर हस्ताक्षर करने के लिए कहा था। भाजपा नेता ने कहा कि इसके लिए नियमन संसद के माध्यम से ही किया जा सकता है और सिब्बल यदि इस विषय को चर्चा के लिए संसद में लाते हैं तो हम इसमें भाग लेंगे।

लंगोटिया यार यानी बचपन के यार। इस शब्द की तर्ज पर बने इंटरनेटिया यार का इस्तेमाल लोग विभिन्न सोशल नेटवर्किंग साइट्स पर अपने मित्रों के लिए करते हैं। भले ही उन्होंने एक दूसरे को कभी न देखा हो। लेकिन वे अपनी निजी जिंदगी सहित ढेर सारी राजनीतिक,सामाजिक बातें सांझा करते हैं। उन पर सलाह देते हैं। दरअसल इन्हें पहले विभिन्न साइट्स के नाम से जाना जाता था, जैसे फेसबुक फे्रंड्स, लेकिन अब इन्होंने अपने लिया कामन शब्द तलाश लिया और वह भी हिंदी में।

 
लो भाई आज गूगल को आयकर का नोटिस मिला ....और गूगल इंडिया के तीन बड़े अधिकारियो की पत्नियो को दो साल पहले विदेश से गहने साथ लाने पर कस्टम ने सम्मन भेजा ...
मतलब कांग्रेस का इशारा साफ है ,,सीधी तरह मान जाओ बेटा नहीं तो दूसरे रास्ते भी मैडम के पास है !!
