Thanks for the links.:) yes i wish to prune my search. exactly i am looking for how passwords are stored in windows 98, NT and Xp and UNIX. i am developing a secure way by implementing artificial neural networks and replacing the original pwl files of windows. another related topic is of cell phone operating system security.
