I recently got access to latest rape statistics, state wise. Speaks volume about security of woman in states. Take a look: http://mla.prsindia.org/sites/default/files/policy_idea/State wise rape cases.pdf

States that saw rapid increase:
  • Haryana
  • Gujarat
  • AP
  • Rajasthan
  • UP

States that have improved:
  • Bihar(YES, CONSIDERABLY)
  • Jharkhand
  • Punjab

P.S. above list is in no particular order, let the assumptions rest in peace

Teri Report k according HARYANA 11th Number per hai. (Agar 2011 ka data check kare to).
 
Bhai khali Gujarat likhta to acha lagta? Fir se mujhe naam bolte log ;)

On a serious note, I wrote Haryana because there has been an increase of 20.5% since 2006 and I believe most of Jatlanders come from the straight so would have caught thr attention.

The situation emerging out of the statistical data is alarming and warrants immediate corrective measures throughout the country!
 
True Sir.

Whats more alarming is that states like Gujarat and Kerala(most educated state) have an increase but states like Bihar are a few odd examples of decrease in numbers.

Desi Bhai..i dont know how u analyzed the report...
please reanalyze it and dont put Haryana No. 1 in this..

1. MP --3406
2. West Bengal -- 2363
3. UP -- from 1563 to 2042


Haryana -- from 720 to 733 ?/ how is it at top..strange!!!!!!!!!




I am against rape and it should be 0 in alll state.. but It would be better you edit your privous comment..

This guy just wrote Haryana on top to get reactions. If you use his data than the state who has massive increase is Kerala, Meghalaya, Rajasthan and Karnataka (more than 50% rise since 2006). He tried to highlight Gujrat and Haryana as he knew some people would react in a particular way and that would make him happy (Not to say that haryana's situation is any better. We still had 20.6% rise even thought there could be a few factors responcible like more people victims coming out and reporting such cases etc).

Anyway in this data only 4 state show a reduction in rapes which is a aweful situation.

Wish I could get such cheap pleasures, sadly I dont.

I highlighted Gujarat because there is no state other than Gujarat that claims to be most progressing ,which is not the truth
I highlighted Haryana because most members here come from Haryana

I doubt if he is Jat even. I, personally, take him as Internet troll who has joined this site to guage the trends of Jat mindset in forthcoming elections.
His only agenda is to stand by Kaangrease and malign others with some figures which are based on samples rather than actual facts.

Vicky,who done it, how they done it, whats their background in such social/criminal research matters more than just figures. In my personal opinion negative propaganda is more salable than positive reports and findings.
 
The one I posted right above your post is from a blog of Ricken Patel, Executive Director, Avaaz.org which was published by NDTV.

I agree, negative agenda makes its way through crowds faster than positive ones. For example, I posted Haryana above in no articular order to highlight the situation and got such unexpected reactions where as I have been saying Haryana is doing so better than many other states in other forums but it is dying for acceptance, forget reactions to it.

The rate of rapes will shoot up in future after the implementation of Verma Panel's new charter of rights. Woman's Rights have been proposed with an intention to make Indian society liberal and combating patriarchy.

Its a right move! Will help in reporting cases of eve teasing and make our bureaucracy more accountable.

But I still believe without judicial reforms, whatever laws you make, no justice can be offered to citizens.
 
It is indeed shameful for me ( from haryana) to see its name on top -as such crimes increased in haryana .

On lighter note -
On basis of some other thread-----I guess people of haryana have increased watching Kareena n Malaika movies or item songs .

आंकडे देखने से तो लगता है की जन्हा -2 कांग्रेस और सहयोगियों की सरकार है वंहा हालत जयादा ख़राब है अप्केश्क्रत ....
