akshay ji, ....do you think two situations are the same...by any chance???? i mean ricky ponting chewing gum nd this one......

if u say yes.........then i have really wasted the effort of my fingers typing this thread, plus my time.............................

Situation were different but occassion and attitude can be comparable. I am afraid the effort of your fingers will induce any manners in Sushil kumar/Jats. Let him be like that only, thats why we like him. And then Every Man alone is sincere. At the entrance of second person hypocrisy begins

Koye baat n........ ebb kar dyo maaf Sushil ne...... us ne eb kushti mein dhyaan lagawannn dyo......nahi to koye us ne thaa ke thok dega...... ek aadh medal ka naas karwaaogey tham,,,,,,,,,,,,, medal jeetan dyo uss ne pehlam..... chungum - chaangam ki baad mein sochengey.......... :rock :rock :rock

Dear All,

The minute I saw Sushil Kumar carrying the 'Baton' (Gulami ki Nishani), and the manner in which he handed it over to Prince Charles, it was nothing less than AWESOME...

No, he didn't do anything wrong.

Main uski jagah hota te Prince ne sir pe tha k Kalmadi ke upar or pheink detaa, followed by the announcement "LET THE GAMES BEGIN"...... LOL!

all i meant to say is.......the times are changing!!simplicity has nothing to do with this incidence.........

jat te kisse te niche kaam kar ke bhi raaji na rahya karte(if we talk about the attitude).......fer jaat corporates mein kaam kyukar kar re hain...........jaat te kursi ke upar bhi ukadu baith jaaya karren.......par manne koi jaat office mein nu baithta na dekh liya.........arr je baith bhi jaa te kun baithan dega...koi unn ne nu thoda kahga chaal koi na tu baith jya kyunki tu jat hai.......koi dhoti kurta pehar ke office mein na jaata...........

mahaul gell badal jya hain..........n simplicity is so different issue than this

Are you being bullied by non-jats at your work?

Why are you hell bent in making us accept that it was an 'intentional' capricical whim by Sushil?

In the first place, this is not an issue meriting discussion on this forum. Second, we should be receptive and objective if someone points out some shortfalls in our mannerism. How can we assume that we are always 100% right just because we are Jats. Is it so important to chew a gum at ceremonial occasions. If we do not believe in any protocol why do we participate in a function which is a semblance of colonial era. The very existence of Commonwealth under the flagship of Royalty is questionable, when Royalty is anachronistic in present world. Vaise chewing gum bahot buri aur disgusting cheez hai. Ilaychi is better substitute.

What about the two players(one cyclist and one wrestler) who showed middle finger to CWG officials :)

Chewing gum while jogging/walking in the stadium is not an insult to anyone, in particular, I guess. Even if it is, for some of us, is it really that big?

Vipinji,my whole purpose of this thread was to mention wot i felt........i didnt say anything like sushil kumar insulted somebody....the thing is he cud hav behaved better, and as VP Singhji mentioned we should be open to criticism about our community too........dat will only bring betterment to our society!! we cant afford to be stubborn

And about, the other two players misbehaving.......does nt give us an excuse dat we can make mistakes if others are doing it at a higher level,

And as our fellow members are discussing dat its so normal for Jats to behave like dis...........then according to them it shud also b an ignorable thing because showing middle finger for these white guys is so normal gesture in their countries.

P.S. now dont misinterperate me dat m supporting them for wot they did!!

Hi Rekha,

No I wont. My post wasnt directed towards you. It was more in general to everyone. All I was saying is, chewing gum like this might be a matter of riducule for some but it can be OK for others. Different cultures, different environment and different person has different norms for social behaviour. Like in some countries eating in front of others in public place isnt rude but some people in china and india and other such countries would find it rude. There could be lot many examples like this. For me, it wasnt that offensive to anyone, in general. However we all have our own views based on the norms we follow and cherish.

then according to them it shud also b an ignorable thing because showing middle finger for these white guys is so normal gesture in their countries.

Showing finger is offensive everywhere in all countries, as far as I know.

(http://www.jatland.com/forums/showt...tionally-insults-Delhi-CM&p=254143#post254143) Iss thread ne to meri aankhein hi khol di...............Now I am really going to RE-CONSIDER my opinion:P

Now I am thinking may be i was jealous of Sushil kumar's guts......actaully i guess it statred wen i was thrown out of french lecture at college for chewing gum.....n i was just seeking a chance where i cud find someone else guilty(Poor Sushil)......

Now onwards I will also try to be TRUE JAT(won't listen to something against any jat).............probably will start chewing gum(again)....at important occasions......
