We have seen so much wrath coming Politicians' way for not safeguarding our country and being very complacent and corrupt throughout. But aren't our top officials(Civil servants) equally wrong footed.

They are supposed to be the think tank of the politicians and they are continuously failing in that regard for around 2 decades now. Shouldn't some top officials too be scrapped like the CM, deputy CM and home minister of Maharashtra?? Here I am not trying to save the day for politicians if someone has already started thinking so. But what is the role of IAS and IFS officers who act as advisors and policy makers and aren't they equally guilty?

Both are equally responsible for this mess. One day they have to answer to country.

How about every citizen, who voted these politicians, and who in turn appointed these Babu's.... So voters are responsible

Well....They get selected through gruelling civil services exam, amongst them too, only high end guys get to hold position in National advising machinery.

Here, I am not saving politicians in any regard. But the Babu's in top positions are supposed to be of very high intellectual worth and no question they possess the same. Then where/what are they missing??? Aren't they taking things seriously or are they being casual or if their advises are not being implemented?

Can someone from the same arena or someone who knows things inside enlighten us?

I do not think that now a days these civil servants have enough power to take independent decisions and secondly resources are required to execute any plan. Do you think by providing a couple of boats to Coast Guard for covering 1500 KM coastal line are sufficient resources? Responsibility clearly lies with governemnt(Politicians) and they have accepted the failure on their part.

Its more of a failure of the system as a whole. If we point out the politicians or bureaucrats or try to put blame on any or both of them then we may not be able to arrive at the right cause. Politicians, bureaucrats, voters etc do not exist in water tight compartments. They all together form a system which is affected by them all. The failure of system is failure of all of us. Bureaucrats are the think tank but they are not immune to the political rot. The politicians play them around at their will. And then there are corrupt bureaucrats too. So we cant just point one lot out and say that this is responsible for all the wrong happenings. Rather we are collectively responsible for the system to work or fail.

You are absolutely right Gulia ji, civil servants act only on politicians order. If they do anything good themselves than these politicians stop them to do the same. Politicians (PUBLIC SERVANT) are in india working for their party and themselves selfishly not for INDIA. This is the main problem and main root of corruption. If we can find solution of this than we can become citizen of a progressed country otherwise SUPREME COURT OF INDIA has said once that "God also can not save this country from corruption". We need to change the system. I am not sure how can we implement this but wait and see what happens next

it is failure of all first we then the politicians. Because we elect politicians

bombay attack was the failure of all country.

according to me it was the totally failure of our country. we choose the leaders but these leaders do not proper action. mostly leaders are illeterate and corrupt. india is facing such type of attacks due to the reason of corruption. our securiy has failed in this attack. i think in this type cases military or our security branches takes brive and then they allow terrorists to entry in the county. so india continue facing these attacks. leaders are also corrupt so they can not take any action.
