Hi,
Read this question, come up with an answer, and then scroll down to the bottom for the result. This is not a trick question. It is as it reads. No one I know has got it right -including me.

A woman, while at the funeral of her own mother, met this guy whom she did not know. She thought this guy was amazing, She believed him to be her dream and she fell in love with him right there but did not ask for his number and no matter how hard she tried she could not find him. A few days later she killed her sister.

Question: What is her motive in killing her sister?

Give this some real thought before you answer.
 
May be she is hoping to find the guy in her sister's funeral.

Test...

This, according to what I read at a couple of authentic places is a test which is actually administered to various inmates and suspected psychopaths by psychologists.

Those who answer that the lady killed him becuase she figured that since he came on the other funeral, he probably has links to the family in some way and would thus probably come on her sister's funeral too--are supposedly thinking like psychopaths!! or have an inclination or bent of mind which is more like serial killers.

A particular study indicated that about 99% of serial killers answered the above whereas less than 40% (I dont remember the exact figure) of people who have never committed a murder answered like above.

@vinod, dude- no pun intended but that is what this test is actually supposed to mean, it is not a lateral thinking question.

Hmmm, didn't know that... I would hope to be included in 40% who never murdered... Lekin future ki gaurantee nahi hai, bach ke rahiyo...

I think the other way & more postive way of looking at Vinod's answer is that he got brains of an investigator with thinking like their's. Investigators , in order to solve the cases have to look at the things the same way a criminal would see.
 
well i think that guy at funeral has nothing to do with her sis murder coz

so she never knew about that guy... then how can she knew about her sis n that guy's relation??

may be she killed her sister for some different reason (atleast not for that guy at funeral)... and who knows may be she killed her mother also for the same reason.

Just read it again

Hi,

She killed her sister becuase she was hoping that Guy may be her family friend. Thats why he came for the funeral of her mother.
She did not have any contact number of that Guy. She wanted to meet that guy again, so the best way was killing her sister

I know these all are assumptions but i think this assumpiton is supported by reasons.
