In 15th and 16th centuries, India was under the wave of 'Bhakti Movement' when many saints and poets like Kabir, Nanak, Tulsidas, Surdas, Mirabai and several Sufi saints influenced the public. At that very time, Central Asia had invented gun-power and manufactured medium-range guns and artilery, powered by this gun-powder.
Indian kings used to rear elephants for major battles and had superior warriors. On the other hand, Babur had fast runnings horses and a modern artilery, despite low number of soldiers. In the battle of Panipat, a few shots of cannons intimated the elephants who ran away out of fear and shock from huge blasts and gurgling sound of exploding shells, thus crushing their own soldiers under their feet. A few other artilery shells made an immense psychological impact on the Indian soldiers as they had not heard such a huge blast piercing through their ears and hearts.
India had the best soldiers who were undefeatable in a hand-to-hand fight or a sword-fight. But when the enemy does not allow you to come near and is able to shoot you from a distance (through guns and cannons), the battle is lost without real fight.
I could not find a more acute answer to this question.

Amrit, I have seen other threads started by you. I fail to understand why you tend to start vague arguments and ideas and remain in a fighting mood with fellow members in your threads. Here, do you want to become a hero like Babur and singlehandedly defeat all fellow Jatlanders in this battle of words? You say "I am a chemistry person, not a business person". Being so and being stationed in California, are you so authoritative on each and every subject, even Indian history? If you yourself become Judge, Jury and Prosecutor, then what is left for others to discuss in your threads?

ha ha ha ha rakesh...........now be ready....... Amrit bhai will ask you to name all those 12000 jats who were hired :rock :rock :rock :rock
Something from the movie 'The Dark Knight' [where Alfred tells Bruce why Joker fellow is too complicated to understand],
"... Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn."
Sir, some ppl just want to have fun... there is no reason, no sense, no rationality, no premise, no conclusion in what they say.
They say things, NOT because they have something to say BUT because they have to say something... anything!!
Sad thing is that some worthy members continue to fall prey to such gibberings!!
I think he hired Jats :rock:rock:rock:rock
