My dear friend is just like a jewel
Who always let me forget all the pain
Dear one, who always make me smile
Love for that friend, again and again

Who understands the feelings and relations
Always available whenever there is need
Preaches like a teacher, laughs like a buddy
So wise and mature that seems in every deed

Who knows about me better than myself
Make up my mind that what i should deserve
Mention to improve all my weeaknesses
Shows my strengths that i should preserve

Always appreciate me for my goodness
Scolds me everytime whenever i do wrong
Guide me nicely whenever i am in dilemma
My dear friend stays with me so long

Who listen me whenever i want to talk
And understands all about my dreams
Knows that what i love and what i hate
Who feels my feelings by all the means

GOD bless my friend with happiness
What is a life without such a frined
Friends are jewels and friendship is life
Just want to say I love my dear friend

They exixt but only a few lucky people have that good thing in their life.

I agree again that true friends are rare now a days.

Just hope for the best. :)
 
Dear Vijayji your Poetry is very good but now a days practically it is almost impossible to have such kind of friends. May b u r among rare lucky people who are having such kind of friends.

Since childhood I have also listen stories of True friends Like Krishna & Sudama,Karna & Duryodhan etc but that was way back in Satyug & dwaparyug.In kalyug it is nearly impossible.

I fully agree with Dr.Anu & Ms Sunita.

I was also having such a friend till a week ago whom I believe very much but he proved me wrong.

well i think true friends do exists and every body is not lucky enogh to have one.....wht i knw is its ur inherited qualities to recognise a gud friend.thtz y u'll c different opinions here on this issue...........luckily i have more thn one !
 
I had about 8-9 friends....whom i trusted to be so-called TRUE friends....until i found all were time pass friends....fer ek aur saheli.....ek aur saheli....I believe that FRIENDSHIP IS A CONVINIENCE....you have a friend till its convinient for you or for your friend....BTW what are the qualities to get a TRUE FRIEND???? As i just want to rate myself on this parametre:)

Sunil, first of all thanks for the appreciation for my poetry.

Now regarding true friends, it depends on your vision about friendship. What you think you are always right and your friends were always wrong.

Honesty is the first thing which bonds friends together and truth makes it everlasting, believe me man. You can find one for sure.

Well Sunita,

Qualities of a true friend can't be described in generalized manner. But the basic thing is that a friend who won't let u down ever, cares about you, honest in friendship, tells about your drawbacks, appreciate your goodness, laughs with you, feel your sorrows and there are endless things a true friend does.

If you want to rate yourself just see how honest you are with yourself and with your friends. How many times your accept your faults and how many times you just try to blame your friends for the broken friendship and how many times they did the same thing ? How many times they shaken your trust and how many times you did the same ?

Too many things, Sunita.... and i think you have more experience than me about life.....:)

People should have quality in themselves to recognize a true friend.

Anyways, you are so lucky man that you have many true friends.

ya its hard to find out good friends

ya its hard to find out good friends but for this there are some resaons... now a days, life is so fast and lots of competetion. thats why every body has a lots of aspectations.They wana to fullfil there need whether they are using some one dosn't matter.
many pepoles have a diff meaning of this friend ship. for me friends are those for which if you do some thing , you feel great. with whom you can sare you feeling(bad or good),you can trust on him/her with your close eyes. etc
some one said if you have many friends then you may feel good but if you have one real friend then you are the luckest person in this world.

Hi Vijay.. nice poem..n ur prospective to look towards things in life is also good..
I fully agree with ur views... true friends do exists..
Genuine friendship involves a shared sense of caring and concern, a desire to see one another grow and develop, and a hope for each other to succeed in all aspects of life. True friendship involves action: doing something for someone else while expecting nothing in return -- But we r selfish - we usually dont do things while expecting nothing.
Real friends encourage one and forgive one another where there has been an offense - but we usually blames each other directly or indirectly.
Many people say, "Oh, he's a good friend of mine," yet they never take time to spend time with that "good friend". Friendship takes time: time to get to know each other, time to invest in each other's growth - but we dont have time - many reason - office, workload, ect.

When people says - they dont have true friends - is that means u r good enough but ur friend is not? Whenever we say something about a true friend- we usually say he mustdo this, he must be like that? But what we r expecting from him, r we giving that to him also?
Its a 2 way relationship - give n get .... first give then get. First be there for him whenever he needs u then expect him to be there for u.
Every relationship needs some efforts... just take some time out for ur friends...thay r the real jewels to keep....
I wish everyone have some true friends...
