Great News

Dear Arya Ji and Col Malik

Congratulations to both of you as well as the entire Jat Community. It is very kind of Col Malik to move to Hissar from Mumbai. I am sure the young children and the staff at the school will benefit enormously from his rich and vivid experience.

Respected Arya Sir,
Your effort is very inspiring. Best wishes to Col Malik and we hope he would be able to take the school and children to a path of great success.

Its a real noble work Aryaji and Jagmohanji

I'd also like to contribute whatever I can to this school. Particularly, to give the students and teachers there voluntary advice for getting into IITs. I'm B.Tech. (Civil) from IIT Delhi. I wish the school to start senior secondary classes soon. However, I'd pay personal visit to this school, shortly.

Kalirawan School

Dear Members: Rajender Singh, Rahul, Vinod (thanks for pictures of the school), J. Hooda, Sita Ram Jakhar, Deepak, Shubha Chand ji, Navin, Ramesh, Jit, Col. Tavathia, Ravi, Priti and Anuj: I appreciate all your good wishes for the institution and its progress. I am very sure that under Col. Malik's direction, this school will become a beacon of rural education and that is why I am calling it a TURNING POINT.
Kalkhande ji, Col. is a very resourceful man and I am sure he will make arrangements to be in touch with Jatland, though there is no internet facility at the school for the time being. Once he is there, all the help from jatlanders will be channelized to the benefit of the students.
Dr. Tewatia ji: thanks for the offer of help and we will definitely utilize in due time, however, school will not have Sr Secondary classes for another 5 years. The present 6th grade will reach 11th in 2011.

Congratulations to Col. Malik!!!

Congratulations to you, Col. Malik!!!

After all things considered, I think you are an excellent choice and perfect fit for this job. You seem to possess every quality that the Director of an institution like the SRM Public School needs to possess. Our best wishes are with you.

As far as Mrs. & Mr. Arya are concerned not enough can be said about this wonderful couple: a perfect example of down to earth multi-millionaires dedicated to improving the lives of others through pragmatic charitable giving. Their no-frills approach towards charity is worth emulating.

A special word of appreciation for Mrs. Santosh Arya and her character: she is a very plain, honest, and straightforward person, who does not believe in circuitous talk. Normally, one would expect a lady of her stature and wealth to be ostentatious and snobbish but nothing can be farther from truth in her case. Mr. Arya is lucky to have such a gentle and practical lady as his life partner. No wonder the school is doing such a good job of providing quality education to kids in Kalirawan.

Respected Mr. Arya, Mrs. Arya & Col. Jagmohan
hats off to all you all for doing such a wonderful job for out community. I'm sure as a Director, Col. sa'ab would imbibe great values in students.
Col. Jagmohan, I hope your presence here wouldn't be any less after you join the school management.
Regards
Pradeep

School

Dear Kapoor, Pradeep, Poonam, Ramlal, Nrender and Pammu: Thanks for kind words for Mrs Arya, Col Malik, me and the school. Kids and teachers alike welcome any kind of interaction, talk with the visiting people and therefore, anybody who has the time to visit, please do so and spare some time for the students. Ramlal ji sorry, we do not have hostel facility as our own village has about 150 school going kids each year and we can take only 60 a year. Almost all 150 to 200 kids apply for admission every year and it makes me pretty sad that we can not take all of them. Hopefully, some day.

Best wishes to Col Malik, Mrs & Mr Arya.

Query

Arya Sahab,

Would you like to share the problems and difficulties you have to face since beginning of this project as also the recurring and non-recurring expenditure for the benefit of those that may wish to follow you?

Sorry for putting this semi personal question but I found it important.

School

Deswal Ji: No you did not ask a semi-personal question. This would be so if the Kalirawan school were a business. I would be happy to give details but I am not sure how many people are interested in the details. I would not mind talking to any one who has any interest in helping rural kids education. The details like how to start, what to look for, what are the pitfalls, financial break-up and mental preparation etc will need quite a few paragraphs depending on the interest of the readers and may be it would be more appropriate in a separate thread. I am sorry for such a late reply to your questions. I will start the details in a day or two. Thanks for asking.

Sorry people, I didn't realize that Mr. Arya had started a new thread in response to Deswal ji's inquiry. Therefore, I have edited this posting and moved my response to the appropriate thread.
