nice 2 see sm1 is preparing except company job. propably i can help u .net exam covers almost all the topics in pg degree like graphics,dbms,n/w,automata etc as u have in syllabus (i think u got).


but main stress should be on


DBMS
N/W
and automata
many question froom these topics alone

dbms covers 5-6 question alone based on a database eg its queries,dfd,etc

and as last question of 40 marks u should prepare 2 topics from that of ur interst.


any more queries ?

hi monika,
thanks for ur suggestion.you r right that the exam covers dbms.automata,n/w.as far as automata is concerened am very well prepared for it.but the problem that am facing in DBMSand NETWORKING and ELECTRONICS also yaar is:

1. the books am studing and studied r navate,desai,gharke.so any other books etc.

2. for n/w the books r tanenbaum,cisco.

3. for electronics its jain only.

4. the topics in DBMS,N/W,ELECTRONIC on which i should concentrate most.



The questions that come in ugc hve a word limit of 30,60 etc.so is it appropriate to draw ER DIAGRAM,DFD'S OR OTHER DIAGRAMS WHERE EVER APPLICABLE or just write about the topic.

Thirdly i feel the paper is too lengthy yaaar so the appropriate methodology to attempt it.

Fourthly any
coaching,
studymaterial
previous papers that i can get and work on.


any person in ur contact who has cleared ugc for comp. science.

and do give ur mail id etc as its better to be in contact yaar.I am appering in june now and i dead sure need to clear it in any ways and means.

I again request u to be in contact always as its the conversation,guidance and understanding of the paper that will help us clear it.

I am also from rohtak but i have subject physics. In my case i looked for GATE previous papers and tried to solve them. i found that questions in all my exams like NET, GATE, DRDO, JEST etc have same pattern and got success also. If your sallyabus matches with GATE , then you can try same.
Because preparing blindly without knowledge of the pattern can be risky.My point is that try to understand which type of questions are gernally asked.
this is for subject only ,because we dont have GK in physics NET.

I am very thankful for ur suggestion bhai.I went to nai sarak a few days back and found the previus gate papers and to my surprise they r 70% of the same pattern

keep guiding me one day i will definately crack net.

Always welcome dear, One more suggestion, when i brought this book I found it difficult to solve its problems and was never succesfull to solve all of them. So if you feel so, don't despair, keep trying to solve as much as you can.

Need help regarding automata theory

bhai ,
do hve any knowledge of good,easy language books and help regarding turing machines,pushdown automata.

Cracking NET is not a big deal. Just concentrate on ur Post graduation syllabus. I am from a chemistry background and in our part we have two papers. paper-I is subjective and second one is objective. Try to concentrate on the first paper as most of the students who qualify first part were able to get atleast NET and those who performed equally well in both the parts can get JRF or call for SPM scholarship. For study material you can read brilliant's notes NET. They are of gr8 help and discuss all syllabus. I m not sure about the availability of these notes in your particular field but most probabely these notes r available for all subjects. Wish u all the best for your exam. do work hard to achieve your goal. I hope my suggestions will be of some help to you.

secondaly madam the subjective paper consistes of 26 questions in all.
20 ques. of 5 marks
5 ques. of 12 marks
1 ques. of 40 marks.

can u plz guide me the ways and means to efficently ,timely cover up my paper in 2&1/2 hours time.so that i can score well.

I think in NET it is never required to attempt all the qustions in subjective. So try to to contact someone who have cracked NET in your branch and ask how much you need to solve. In our physics exam a sudent is asked to o 20 questions out of 40. and people say someone who solve 10 correctly get JRF. I solved 14 in my case.
