I do NOT agree with this at all. The farther we are from our Motherland the more the tendency to cling to your culture, values and roots.
I am not sure if you are aware that in NJ we have a very active chapter of AJA(Association of Jats in America). There are Holi, Diwali functions and also an annual picnic in July.
I go to India and relish every bit of it. Have also seen other people who act like they r not just from US but Mars...when they are in India...U will always have those few who make the rest of us (in US) look bad!!
India can be improved a lot but there is NO country like India!
