Valentine Day originated from St. Valentine. He was a Roman and was martyred for refusing to give up Christianity. He died on February 14, 269 A.D., the same day that had been devoted to love lotteries. St. Valentine left a farewell note for the jailer's daughter, who had become his friend during their jail time, and signed it "From Your Valentine". After that February 14 became the date for exchanging love messages and St. Valentine became the patron saint of lovers. The date was marked by sending poems and simple gifts such as flowers. There was often a social gathering or a ball. One more story here for valentine day, this is also from ancient Rome. In the time of ancient Rome the lives of young boys and girls were strictly separate. However, one of the customs of the young people was name drawing. On the eve of the festival of Lupercalia the names of Roman girls were written on slips of paper and placed into jars. Each young man would draw a girl's name from the jar and would then be partners for the duration of the festival with the girl whom he chose. Sometimes the pairing of the children lasted an entire year, and often, they would fall in love and would later marry. Now a days the date (14th February) is very commercialized. As well as the way to celebrate this day has been changed. May be that's why our old traditional type people are against this day celebration. Thanks!!!!!

Moreover, this is such a nice occassion to fetch some more gifts from my husband ;) ... i hv already got some 'non-surprise' gifts & m waiting for the 'surprise' one :D and we hv so many exclusive plans - thanx to the day :)

thik kahi aapne chahel saheb....foool deu chahe phuuul dyo...maksad pyar sei hai...to be emphathic and feel concern for someone sp.....ghar waalon er badon ka ashirwaad to hamesha hi lenne chahiye......its not pertinent for this day....I am sorry to say...."SPECIAL" <<< plzz refer to this word again.....kayiyaan nei mere khyall mein zikaar karr liyaa aadei !! :p

verma ji that was an example...dil pei matt lyo....was in a critical/humorus way...not to forget how jats treat humorology :p

belive me or not.....this special day girls for wait their man (official/unoffcial) to express and reconsider their feeling for them....even if they have been together

Don't take is personally, aur haan ye paint,shirt,internet,computer culture nahin suvidhaye hain, muh ki khane ke bad etc. etc. likhna doesn't suite you dear.

Main pehle hi kah chuka hun aap v-day manana chahte hain to bilkul manaeye but I will try to discourage this event and it is for sure.

Sab bhai aur behan JL par prem-bhaav aur sad-bhawna se rahein,,,,apas mein katuta na faile, ,,,kisi ka koyi ladai jhagda na ho,,,,aur jinke apas mein ladai jhagde hain vo bhi apas mein mil jayein
 
Shabi tyohare ka kuchh na kucch background hai, ram ki pooja kyon karte hain ravan ki kyon nahin ismain kucch to logic hoga, just try to find out.

V Day bhi suvidha hi to hai :D pehle se pata hota hai ek acha din aane waala hai, aur hum atyaari bhi kar sakte hain :o ....

Muh ki khaana - aisi ghatiya baate aapko hi suit karti hain avam shobha deti hain :cool:

मनाया जाता है . कोए हमने भी बता दो भाई , और न्यू भी
बता दियो यो गर्मी , सर्दी , या चमासे , कोण से मोसम में

वर्मा जी इतनी नीरसता कहाँ से भर ली आपने अपने जीवन में थोड़ा बहूत हंस खेल भी लिया करो कूएं के मेंढक बनने में कोई फायदा नही है कूएं से बहार निकल कर देखो दुनिया कहाँ की कहाँ पहुँच गई है. मैं ये नही कह रहा हूँ की हमें वे सारे काम करने चाहिए जो पश्चिमी संस्कृति में होते हैं. लेकिन उनके जो अच्छे काम हैं वे तो हम अपना ही सकते हैं. जरूर्री नही है कि आप अपनी गर्ल फ्रेंड या अपनी पत्नी को ही वैलेंटाइन मान सकते हो. यह तो आपके ऊपर निर्भर करता है कि आप किसे अपना वैलेंटाइन मानते हो आप अपने माता - पिता, भाई, बहिन या अपने अन्य मित्रो को भी अपना वैलेंटाइन मान कर उन्हें फूल या कुछ अन्य उपहार दे सकते हो. अगर आप वैलेंटाइन डे को बुरा मानते हो तो फ़िर तो आपने कभी स्कूल में शिक्षक दिवस भी नही मनाया होगा. क्योंकि आपके लिए तो सारे दिन एक समान हैं. ये जवाब आपके सारे सवालों कर जवाब है. अपनी रूढिवादी मानसिकता को छोड़ कर थोड़ा समय के साथ चलने कर प्रयत्न कीजिये. आप भी खुश रहेंगे और आप अपने चाहने वालो के लिए वैलेंटाइन बन जाओगे. मेरी बात को दिल से मत लगाना. मैं आपका दिल नही दुखाना चाहता. धन्यवाद !!!!!

Bhai maine laga verma ji ko koi gahri chot lagi hui hai es din....tabhi sabhi ko kuch na kuch logic aali baat bata rahe hain....gahraai ko samjo....
