Valentines' Day

Dear Friends,

I welcome all the Jatland memebs to send their views on Valentines' Day. Why we celebrate this day and is it fit for our society, or it is only for marketing strategy.

Is din main kewal market ko badhawa dene wali bat hai. Har company apna apna maal bechne ki koshish main lagi hai.

So what's wrong in some companies making profit out of it. I certainly find it much better than commercialising Holi, Diwali or Christmas. The day is about spreading love and I believe love can never be wrong or bad.
Happy St. Valentine's Day :)

Right chhikara ji,

selling valentine day cards and organising parties on the day is not respecting love.....

In our Indian Culture all day's are valentine day and we can't wait for 14 feb to express our love or celebrate only a single day for love....
like repecting Father on father's day,
and Mother on Mother's day.........only

It also changes the values of our culture......by motivating young youth to participate in it or by advertising it to a great extent

Our society and me too is not againt it but every thing is fair when it is in limits............

Now a day's FM also promoting it by show nam,e " Love Ke Kede ".......in this u can be the valentine of a girl by sending SMS to her ....somthing like that,....

...............many other factor's are also there//,,,,

Haan Mukesh bhai.......Rahe Baat Bajrang dal ke to ....i salute them for their work for Hindu Society

^^DD

I do agree with Amit Sansanwal, Every think is commercialized, There is no harm to go for marketing strategy, it a Business,be it any occassions. And if people adopt to some extend this so called western culture and if does'nt harm anybody, I thing there is no reason to question V-day. Democracy prevails here.

does one really need to express his/her love to someone ? I strong believe if you have deep faith in someone then it can be easily observed by him/her. Love don’t need of valentine failentine ? faltu ke chochle hai yeh…. bina matlab maie pyar pyar ki rat lagaye rehte hai…..
yeh valentine to abhi aya hai iska matlab pehle log pyar karna nahi jante the ?

waise rena ji..ek baat batao

Dear all,
I feel no probs in celebrating valentine’s day but I feel that we are forgetting our festivals in the storm of foreign marketing. The upcoming children are much more familiar to valentine day, rose day etc than our festivals. So, I personally feel it is up to an individual what he/she likes. And i prefer that we all should go back to our roots and don’t forget where we came from.

Sameer Dahiya.

Every body knows India is our country and we all love our country then why there is only 15th Aug and 26th Jan to celebrate that day JUST "to shout MERA BHARAT MAHAN", it can be celebrated every day. "Love should be from within why do we express that - every body knows and love india".
We celebrate diwali, holi ,christmas what ever, why to make a issue ,we can celebrate it without experessing, why we waste one month before diwali for celebration what for.I f there is any logic in celebrating 15th Aug and 26th Jan, diwali holi etc then definately there is logic for V-day also.
Pehle bhi log pyar express karte the isliye to kabutar se pagiam bhajte the waqt beetne ke sath sath they started with letter. Agar Indian History padhi ho to. As far as faltu ke chochle, ye chochle nahi these are mode to express in 21st century after letters.
In this fast moving world nobody has time to look within without expressing.

Every thing is materialistic.

Mr Mukesh
everything is materialistic AND love exist thats why (ONE DAY )14TH Feb is there so that people can take time from their busy schedule to express themselves and to celebrate.

If u dont believe in V-Day then its OK. NO ONE IS FORCING U TO BELIEVE.

Its just the views nothing else

"Everything is materialistic - and love exists" : do you want to say love is also materialistic? Why to waste time on this site for discussing such an event? There are thousands of sites where such messages could be put. This disease of "Valentine Day" has erupted in India 10 years back after globalisation started. Many of the Westerners and those putting such material on websites etc. do not know what is the meaning of "LOVE". Love with whom? We all love (or hate) each other in one way or the other. Don't you recognise that it is a cultural invasion on our country of 1100 million (in their view, just "Consumers") - so that the young generation forgets our traditional values and MNCs start selling their useless products (greeting cards etc. - imagine one card is sold for as high as Rs. 50 or even 100 !)

By the way, you have not answered the question of Deepak Dahiya : Who is your Valentine?

I do not want to hurt anybody's sentiments. But this is not our culture at all.

Reena ji...tell me how many muslims Valentine's day manatey hain...
Also, why do we need Valentine's day to show our love to someone. Kya musalman kisi ko pyar nahin karte? Aur karte hain to Mr. Valentine ke kandhon(shoulders) par kyon nahin chadd jaatey...

summary is...we indians, say hindus, very easily accept any other religions customs but others are not like us.

Did u think sometime...Dusshera is a festival of 'Victory of good over evil' and this issue is accepted everywhere in the world...then why don't the whole world celebrate Dusshera...

Valentine's day manao...lekin usse pehle thoda soch bhee lena..aankh moond ke na chalya karte!

exactly deswal sir..... indeed u rock man

If it was all about Valentines Day, I think every day is a Valentines Day for those who are in love.

I still remember how madly I was in love with this girl from High School. But I was just not what she was looking for.

I burnt my fingers so badly becuase of that experience that now every day is like moharram for me, when it comes to love and relationships. I dont give a crap about Valentines day or companies making big bucks selling paper cards.

Nothing matters when it comes to Love. It should not be meausred by the money value of the cards and gifts that you can buy.

bhai diljale mri sympathy tere saath hai....but I wonder jib tene dil hi jala liya tha pher aangli jalane ki ke jaroorat thi

Btw tere liye ye din mohram ki jaisa hai ye sun ke mera ko to hanste hanste heart attack aa gaya...abhi escorts hospital delhi se bolu hoon....naa bera kal valentine day ki subha dekh paaonga ya nahin ;)

Hahaha! Jit yaar. You are funny.

Dekh yaar everything has a bright side to it. I dont give a damn about that girl anymore. When she turned me down, I realized other beautiful things in life. Like my mother and my brother. We grew closer. Sometimes we just do not realize that those who love us the most are right around us. And then you know that I did nothing after high school for a long time. As a result of this incident, I had more time to focus on my life and career goals. I left for the US for higher studies. It further made me stronger and turned me into a man.

Now I have left my ma in charge of this department. I dont think girls are worth my time and attention. They come dime a dozen.

So mere pyare Jat bhaoiyon! stop wasting your time and money at Archies Galleries and Hallmark stores. Tell your girlfriends that since you feed them and treat them all year round, today is the day they can have for themselves to take some time off and buy you gifts and treat you.

Isnt it unfair. We treat women all the time, we take them out, pay ofr their shopping bills, feed them at fancy restaurants, and then do everything all togehter again on Valentines day. :D
