Welcome New Members :: Introduction Please

New member
As per stats, some 20-30 members joins JatLand everymonth, but they remains dormant for some time, that may be due to many reasons, one of which is not knowing what to say and when and how others will treat their posts.
My suggestion is all new members should introduce themselves to the existing ones. This way we will get to know each other and new members wil shed their inhibition and join start giving their valuable inputs. They should share following information:
Name (with Gotra):
Village:
Dsitrict:
State:
School/College attended:
Present Occupation:
Hobbies:
Known to any existing JL member:

A correction: On average for this year, there are more than 600 new members joining every month, not just 20-30. Granted that there are many non jats or spurious accounts that we delete, however, I think that there are still 400 or so real members joining in. If we were to start having 400 new posts just on this type of information, then we will be flooded with such posts. Besides, this is what personal information section is for.

Thanks Satyeshwar, for correcting me. But dear, this thread is not to identify Jats and non Jats (there is a simpler way to stop the infilteration of nan-jats on this site), but it is an attempt to know the new members and make them feel confortable. Mods on their own can do this by sending them PM. Secondly, you can delete the posts after one week, that will be sufficient for knowing each other, hence no flooding.
However, if still the moderators think that the info is not required it is high time that this thread should be closed.

I think that we should have a discussion about it and shouldn't close the thread. I am not opposed to new members posting such information in a thread, but I don't think we should make it mandatory for every new member. Most people join for the matrimonial section and to force them to first introduce themselves would be unjust. So let anyone be free to post this if they like, and we can even encourage them to do so.
 
You must have seen in above replies to post as to what existing members think as to how to treat the new members............ let it be a form to get them familier with the naunces of this site

Bhupinder, Thanks for informing about the website.
However, i am talking about the JL members, and the site has nothing to do with this site, moreover the concern of Satyashwar are also correct, we can't force everyone but can request them to provide info.
