Some say its "16x2=8",
Some say its "The Martial Race",

Some say its better if left undescribed..!!:rolleyes:

I have always been of the view JAT is a tribe.. Which in the modern day is fixed in the law of land and can't act rough!!! Which makes them AVOIDABLE to the world, and which makes US happy in ourselves that we are an attitude!!!!

I am still in a study of what we are, but yes have got better things, what we could be...

Respectable
Adorable
Strong
United
Understanding
Integrated
Loving

Don't know how many more ages will this take to be a reality! As of now, we are uninformed, backward ( in thoughts) We carry attitude, and we are not United.

A Jat is a Jat is a Jat....the best defination so far :)

I strongly believe Jat is not a relegion its a RACE,
Jat is not a cast its a tribe of extraordinary alfa humen!
Jat is an attitude & way of life!

Jat is not merely by blood, he/she must own a golden heart n a liberal attitude!!

Rest Sam has elobrated Jat traits pretty well :)

Jats are a large and mainly agricultural community spread over most of north and west of the Indian subcontinent. Traditionally, the Jats have been farmers and soldiers. There is a strong egalitarian streak in the Jat culture. Spiritual but not too religious, Jats, like many other agricultural communities in north India, have tended to view the caste system and the supposed authority of religious clerics with derision. Jat people were designated in a British report as a 'Martial Race'. 'Martial Race' was a designation created by officials of British India to describe "races" (peoples) that were thought to possess qualities such as courage, loyalty, self sufficiency, physical strength, resilience, orderliness, hard working, fighting tenacity and military tactics. The British recruited heavily from these so-called 'Martial Races' for service in the colonial army

I also believe JAT is a race and not a caste as JAT is ajat.

As JAT is a Brahmin (woh brahm ka gyani hai)
JAT is also an Annadata (woh ann deta hai)
JAT is Vaishya (badiya Vyapari dimag -- eg. Bhai Virender Narwal)
JAT is Sudra (Gobar dhan me koi peraj nahi)
JAT is Shatriya (Desh ka sarvotam rakshak)

Modern jamane me JAT is Software Engineer, Colnel, IAS, Bank Manager etc.

JAT is a JAT it can be anyone as it is a thought ...........
