I have just finished reading and posting on the controversial thread, " accountability Of Mod.." and thought that we all make mistakes and at times don't accept that gracefully!
It is kind of confession about an incident when I behaved stupidly but was adamant not to acknowledge with a " Yes , I was wrong" like an approach.
I was driving to a supermarket with my wife sitting beside me. I consider my self not so good driver and my wife thinks I am the worse .It happens with me many a times that while driving, my mind wonders around and I drive not middle of the lane but covering two lanes. My wife has pointed out this many a times but every time she opens her mouth to comment about my driving, I would shut her harshly saying, "कभी साइकिल भी चलाई से"? और वो हमेशा जवाब में कहेगी, हाँ मने बेरा से जिसा तूँ पायलेट से !
That day also I was driving in the middle of the two lanes and she commented
I was so angry that I blew the horn twice in reply
Coincidently , we were side by side at a signal in a few seconds. I raised my window down and questioned the guy, hey what is your problem?
The driver of the car and his companion looked Indian or Australian born Indians and that is why were very polite and said, "Sir , you were covering both the lanes and should have been driving in middle of your lane. I just cautioned you" I quipped back, No!. The Guy just shrugged his shoulders and replied " I am sorry sir!" . The moment he finished saying this, the signal turned green and he drove away. I was shocked in disbelief and didn't move, turned to my wife for लीपा पोती. I knew in my heart all the time that I was wrong but had no courage to admit.
She looked out of her window ignoring what i was trying to say and said, " इस लड़डे ने डिगा ले इब्ब ( मेरी कार बहुत पुरानी है , फोर्ड फलकान १९९०)
You guys can imagine my feelings at that time. I was really feeling like an Idiot
Have any of you ever felt like this, like an idiot?
If yes, please share!
Cheers!
