What a time was it!! Atal Bihari Vajpayi was the cynosure of Indian politics in the second half of 90s. Mostly Indians looked up to him, adored his charisma and loved him to see as Prime Minister. All of a sudden it seemed that BJP has no dearth of new leaders. After Indira Gandhi Atal govt dared to test nuclear weapons and get India registered among nuclear powers of the world. In the same era congress was kissing its lowest point on leadership and people like Sita Ram Kesri were around.
Came the new century and bang! charisma, persona was fading, popularity sliding, in-fighting and the party with the difference appeared like the party with a lot of differences. Vajpayi retired for his own good. Since then they are in transition phase at central level. Not quite sticking with their original Hindutav agenda. If Modi and a handful of other CMs are kept aside, no one in the whole party seems to be popular for central job. Most importantly they seemed clueless over their own agenda. In first UPA term literally there was no opposition from them which costed them to sit in opposition for a second term. Despite a lot of scams by UPA-2 they still seems unbenefitted from what could have caused a mid term polls.
It is my perception which might be 100% wrong but what you guys think where BJP is lacking?
