Yeh opinion lene ke liye hai. Kaunsa politician yeh baatein keh sakta hai:

1. Gujarat UK se size main bada hai
2. Europe aur US jod ke bhi India se size main chhote hain
3. Bharat duniya ki sabse badi democracy hai

Maine poll main 10 options diye hain jisse kai saari parties aur unke neta represent ho sake....please apna bahumulya vote poll karein...

By the way,whats the main point to prove behind this opinion poll, Kapil?

They may say anything as it is their birth-right to make pleasing statements to flatter ignorant( educated & non-educated masses) egos of overly populated state of India.

The point will come later. Right now I am just trying to gauge an opinion, more like a survey of what people think....:)

By the way, I hope it is realized that all 3 statements are factually incorrect!

Don't know in which context but almost every politician is capable of saying this. When a politician can feel proud by saying "I will make Japan as prosperous as Bihar" .... everything is possible.

This is the common statement we read and hear almost everyday in newspapers, speeches, New channels etc. No question arises who can say this as almost every politician is saying this time to time.

About Japan/Bihar thing, that's a promise, a wild one at that. But we can't say that is wrong per se.

India is actually the world's largest Democracy. Many people think it is the United States. But, U.S. is actually a Republic and not a Democracy.

For those who are wondering what I am saying, go back to your Civics text book. A Republic and A Democracy are two different things.

No arguments over this as it is the fact and that's why every politician starts his speech with this line most of the times.

Phool, I think that's incorrect. Both India and US are democracies as well as republics. India's constitution begins with "We the people of India having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic. The distinctions are republic/monarchy and democracy/dictatorship.

My b'day was on 7 March and I completed 11 yrs. I have to wait for 7 years to get the Right to Vote(my mother is doing LL.B. and I sometimes read her books):)I went with my mother to vote when there were elections in Delhi.
But here on Jatland I too can Vote.:rock
I have voted and I am sure my answer is correct:rock:p:cool::D

What is the prize for guessing the right answer?:rolleyes:

Belated happy birthday! I see an exact 50% chance that you got it right. Will explain later how I calculated that. But if you did, I am truly impressed! You are the most aware person on this issue. The prize would be more books :D

Samjha nahin bhai, kya galti ho gayi sawaal main? Ek baar fir padh liye (sabse badi ki baat ho rahi hai, sabse populated ki nahin)

For once and all:
SABSE BADI = LARGEST (In terms of geographical size AND NOT DEMOGRAPHICAL)
 
Dear Kapil,

Who ever has made those remarks wouldn't be grossly wrong.

1) For all administrative purposes Scottland and Wales are autonomous states !
They even have their own sporting teams that take part as independent states. To many people UK is synonymous to England.So UK as England is smaller than Gujrat.

2) Population wise India is larger than US and Europe combined.

3) There is no doubt about the fact that India is the largest democracy.

Phool Bhai, India is also a Republic like US and both have democratically elected Govts
India has largest number of votes who exercise their right to elect their representatives, so largest democracy!
