You buy stocks just like that!
Did you make/loose any money?
You must be investing just for fun..small amount.
Just curious.

Ajmer bhai,
Money is 'precious', not expensive![]()

Making money in stock market needs really very sharp financial reflexes and is not an easy task for an indivudual. I made most of my money by investing in property. If one uses little common sense, returns are really great and investment is 100% safe. Think of investing in Bangalore..Property has been rising there really very fast .(almost 30% every year lately)...

Rajendra,
If you live in Delhi, how do you manage your property in far away locations. Don't you worry about someone grabbing your land and so on.
How do you buy property ? Through local property dealers ?
With all the shady stuff that goes on in India it would seem rather scary...especially for those of us who are mainly resident abroad.
Rajendra Kumar Kalkhunde (Sep 09, 2004 04:38 a.m.):
there are other money multiplier property projects which I can not discuss here on open forum..

Sonali Singh (Sep 09, 2004 10:52 a.m.):
Why wouldn't you want to mention that...
unless you are still in the process of acquiring
these properties...if you already have invested there, marketing them is good for you.
Also, how easy is it to move money from your
India investments back to foreign accounts ?
I take it from your post that you primarily
invest in condos/apartments within
residential compunds rather than land
(which is more susceptible to grabbers).

First and foremost one has to take the fear out of mind, if one wants to grow. Look at MNCs how they open offices in remote countries and appoint people whom they never meet face to face.
Rajendra Kumar Kalkhunde (Sep 09, 2004 11:39 a.m.):
You can move millions from the sale of property and its all legal. One can make money in various degrees from the property depending upon how much and for how long one is willing to invest. I am investing in open land also, but only in my area where I have my own people to take care of it.

[With apologies to Ajmer. He started this thread with a different intent but it has drifted in a different direction.]
Here is another hypothetical property question. Maybe with you street smarts you may be able to answer this best.
Imagine you have a 2 crore commercial property in small town Haryana (Rohtak/Panipat/Sonepat). You are a resident abroad (foreign citizen), and though it is "your town" and you do have some "support" to handle "situations", you don't really have the political or muscle power to tackle adverse elements who might have their eyes on your property. Also, you are not willing to sell that property.
Rajendra Kumar Kalkhunde (Sep 10, 2004 02:56 a.m.):
Investment and marriage are alike where one can not predict everything. However, if one starts with too many precautions and doubts, one ends up never investing or never getting married...
