Who should be the next PM of Bharat?

Raj Thackeray praises Narendra Modi, says his govt India's best

AHMEDABAD: Impressed by the development work done by the BJP government in Gujarat, MNS chief Raj Thackeray on Wednesday commenced his nine-day tour to the state and said the intention of his visit was to take a leaf out the Narendra Modi-led administration in tackling issues like corruption and power, back home.

"Sitting in Mumbai, I had heard a lot about the development taking place in Gujarat through people and other media," Thackeray told mediapersons after visiting the Gandhi Ashram here.

"It felt good when the (Tata's) Nano car project was shifted from West Bengal to Gujarat. And when Ratan Tata himself praised the Modi government and development in the state, I felt I should also go there and see to myself what difference Modi administration had made," he said.

"I have great respect for Modi. The work his government has done, no other government has been able to do in the entire country," Thackeray added.

When asked if there where any political motive behind his visit to Gujarat, Thackeray said, "Those who believe that this is a political visit have very narrow vision and I don't care what they think."

Thackeray said that infrastructure and state development was his passion and to see what Gujarat has done in this sector he was here.

"Maharashtra is far ahead of Gujarat in industries and infrastructure. Development in Gujarat is a recent phenomenon," he said.

"In Maharashtra, electricity, roads and corruption is a major problem. I want to see how Gujarat government has been able to address the issues of electricity and corruption. I also want to see how the system of politicians and state bureaucrats were working here, hand in hand," Thackeray added.

Atish,

It would be a black day in the history of India if a person with chauvinistic mindset like Modi ever accidentally lands up to become India’s next PM who is openly harbouring psychotic-goons like Raj Thackeray. Thackeray has the dubious distinction of being anti-North Indians. This Marathi goon has done all damn things which are clear indicators of his intentions to balkanise the country on linguistic lines for his narrow sectarian ends and rise in Marathi politics at the cost of Indian nationalism. No surprise, if he comes to power in Maharshtra, he might introduce visa system and might kick out all the non-Marathis (including Jats) treating them as “foreigners” like Biharis. Modi’s gesture of extending state honour to this guy is just an example of cheap political manoeuvring and opportunism on his part. The question arises under what protocol and at whose expense this bounty is being offered to those who do not hold any public office or some gubernatorial post in the “Banana Republic of Maharashtra” or elsewhere??

Now the question arises under what protocol and at whose expense this bounty is being offered to those like Italian extended family of Sonia Gandhi and her "daamaad" who do not hold any public office or some gubernatorial post in the “Banana Republic of India” or elsewhere??

I do not see anyone batting for Congress or Sonia Gandhi here. Undue protocol extended to anyone irrespective of the political party is condemnable - be it Sonia or Modi. Let us not deviate from the topic.

Completely off-beat. No one is digging grave for anyone.

As per above logic, the black day should have been somewhere in May 2004 when the congress party came to the power because congress not only harbored Raj Thackery, Raj Thackery was Congress's brain child to divide Shiv Sena's vote bank. Divide and rule seems to be the only ideology that has worked perfectly over last 300 yrs in India and some national parties have ruled India only because their core strength lies in perfection of this technique.

not yuvraj but in next time it will sure piyanka gandhi /a silent volcano

I won't be surprised if it's Priyanka. Going by the way the 'Daamaad" is having links with the Bhu(land)-maffiya, the days are not far for him to spread his greed to entire nation and head a party of looteras.

Why someone opposed to Congress should be emulating the Congress follies ??? Is it really wise?? Do you support Tackeray's policy of kicking out non-Marathis from Maharashtra. If this is allowed to happen, our boys working in Mumbai might also be victims.

Narender Modi would be the best PM fo India.
1. Development of Gujrat.

Regarding Raj Thakre, we all know it is all congress supported agenda he have and who does not have . Indira supported his uncle Bal Thakre in 80s against South Indians. Same thing Indira did it with Bhindrawale against SAD. So it is time tested policy. Raj Thakre is just one more dummy congress is supporting. Again and again cngress play with fire and country burns because of their policy.

Modi is ontouchable to all the parties. I ask only one question If Modi is so anti muslims, why there is no riots against muslims in Gujrat from last 10 years, he has full power in the sate from few terms now

I am in Gujarat, Modi is not against muslims, but he also has some weak point but certainly much less in comperision to other politicians, However, his party bosses will not allow him to be a candidate for PM, pm WILL BE HE WHO SUITES POLITICIANS why we are worried, I am certain a public choice will never be PM

VP ji.what say about this deplorable act of congress! It does not sound good to degrade a person just for the sake that he is linked with BJP and RSS. Modi has done a commendable job and please don't deprive him of being represented as a good CM just for winning an argument or just being an anti- BJP. If anyone in this country needs to be bashed first and foremost that is this gandhi family. My take is, anyone can be PM of this country..just save this country from these gandhis..and they also should not rule this country from back door...we don't need gandhis and we don't need a person who is remotely controlled by gandhis!!

Prashant, I am also not very enthusiastic to see perpetuation of the dynastic politics in India. The time has come when this chain of 'uncrowned monarchs' like scions of Nehru-Gandhi dynasty should be broken. So, please do not take my objective criticism of Modi's warm welcome to a psychotic-goon like Raj Thackeray as a support to Gandhi family. As for Modi's competence for PM's post I have already given my views in the earlier posts. This is not a question of being anti-BJP/RSS or pro Congress. We should observe objective neutrality in our assessment as an observer as this forum is not for convassing in favour or against any political party as all the members cannot be expected to fall in line behind X,Y or Z. We have to let people have their own political opinions. In today's world, people can be wooed with reasoning and trust only and it is difficult to coerce them into voting by gangs of ruffians - thanks to sensationalization and hyping of such incidents by electronic media with video footage.
