Nothing at all can stop leadership change in Haryana as far as Congress is concerned, though they are bound to taste defeat this time. I am not even sure that they will be able to form opposition. Just like at the centre, Congress struggled to increase its ranks to form the opposition.

Dissensions are visible among the Congress leaders of Haryana.

But, there is no likelihood of change of either the CM or the Haryana Congress before the Assembly elections. Both of them are trying their level best to galvanise the party in Haryana by making big promises of providing Jobs and announcing project after project in their public meetings. It would be interesting to see how much lost ground they would be able to re-claim.

Anil Vij, the BJP leader from Ambala, has said that their party's alliance with HJC is practically over as Kuldeep Bishnoi is holding public meetings without inviting BJP leaders or displaying BJP flags at the meeting places.


However, the formality to announce the termination of alliance is still awaited.

Dushyant Chautala, MP from Hisar, has declared that INLD will contest all the 90 assembly seats without entering into any seat adjustment or alliance with other political parties.

AAP leadership is perplexed and finds it difficult to join electoral fight in HARYANA, MAHARASHTRA and JK or not.

Kejariwal thinks that in his personal opinion, AAP must concentrate on Delhi politics and not contest other assembly elections.

Stepping out of inertia, the Congress today kick-started the poll preparation exercise in Haryana, Maharashtra and Jammu and Kashmir by finalising a list of leaders who will be tasked with the responsibility of assessing the winnability of candidates in all three states.
Top sources in the party confirmed to The Tribune that around 42 observers (now called facilitators) had been handpicked by the Congress from across India to report to the central leadership the names of potentially winnable candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in the three above mentioned states.
A meeting of these facilitators was chaired today by Congress’ general secretary in charge of the Central Election Committee Madhusudan Mistry, who is learnt to have given the initial set of instructions to the handpicked leaders. The message for the leaders was — keep your ears to the ground.
The party has instructed the team to submit its report by July 15 to aid the process of early selection of candidates for polls. The Congress hopes to do the groundwork for candidate selection much in advance this time around to avoid inviting last minute delays in the process. “Delays have cost the party dearly in the past,” said sources.
Each facilitator has been given the responsibility of one parliamentary segment and the assembly segments falling under it. For Haryana, there are 10 facilitators for the 10 Lok Sabha segments;

Rajya Sabha Member, Ch. Birendra Singh, met Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and is reported to have brought to her notice the urgent need of change of CM of election bound Haryana before the elections.

After this one to one meeting, her action and the reaction of the Chaudhary to it, is yet to be known.

Jats of Haryana like other politically mobilised castes cannot be lebelled to adhere to or follow any single party. Only that Party which gets support and votes across all segments of society irrespective of castes and religious faiths as well as regions of the state would emerge as the largest single party in the Assembly.

I do not find that BJP - INLD alliance would come up before Haryana Assembly Elections.

Suppose it happens as you think then the figures given seem to be totally unrealistic.

If BJP think tank is thinking on these lines then it can be said about them that they are day dreaming as in some dramatic TV show was shown : Mungeri Lal Ke Haseen Sapne.!

It is true that caste continues to play an important role in allotment of ticket to voting and then to government formation and ministerial berths allocation.

But it has been noticed that no caste as a whole ever polarises to vote a single party.

In-fight in parties, comes out in open at the eve of every election because of the presence of a large number of aspirants for party ticket/nomination.

This phenomenon is not confined to any single party as all the parties are plagued with it. The party which has damage control system under control ultimately stands to show good results,

It would be interesting to see how many turn-coats switch over their loyalties to other parties in their quest for greener avenues this time in Haryana.

In still other words, none is prepared to bring the cat out of cage [old alliance] first.


But the dirty linen being washed in the open by the party leaders of both partners has soiled the shape of alliance into making it beyond recognition. And the process of allegations and counter-allegation goes on unabated.
