I have observed that we jats have a tendency to boast about things and have a king size EGO for nothing.Also we are ill mannered and treat women very badly.Please don't shout at me as i am writing what i have seen and still seeing.Whare are we headed toand what do we want to prove to this world.I am sou sad about the plight of our people who do not want to learn from their mistakes.

You said we are ill mannered :-- before I comment anything on this i just want to ask you that u just let us know what is well mannered.. and how u differentiate it..
treat women very badly : is it the case with jat community only.. this is a social problem madam and not only jat but the whole social structure is responsible for this.. why to blame only jat for this.. I know that women are being deprived of their rights specially in our rural area, but to blame whole community for this is really not justifiable...

Your not knowing those problem areas in itself is an indication enough that we don't want to learn.

Charity begins at home and trust me i would appreciate if you have some sort of refresher cadre for the jat Men around you first, because it is them who have made your opinion about all jats the way it is. As Mukesh said the problem of treating women is crossing the caste boundries and not just specific to Jats.
It appears from your thoughts that you are some how repenting being born as a Jat. There is a very this line between EGO and self respect. The ego for you may be my self respect and I would like to protected it till I do not hit your self respect.
Lets not generalise the whole Jat Community because you have some Ill mannered Jat men around you.
That is not the truth what you portraid about me.I am a proud jat girl but open to personal scrutiny and criticism and also of the cast or atmosphere.Passing the judgement so early is immaturish soldier.

The thinking must have been developed over the period of time and the people and environment around you surely helped in forming such opinion.
Even i am recommeding personnel scrutiny to you and love to have the results on floor of jatland to discuss the findings. May be we can learn a lot from the mistakes peaple around you have commited in making such strong opinions regarding all jat men being labeled as " King Sized Ego and all"

Aggressiveness as regards to anything is good to an extent and after that it just creates sourness and mess around. And there is no obvious reason for such baseless accusations, if she believes that she is a 'liberated woman' , the only possibility being an evident intention on her/his part to create a new controversy !

Ragini while I agree with you & quite like most of the people around here open to introspection I tend to agree with Capt too. Your experiences carry behavioral influence of a few people around you. Generalizing this concept right from the word go would be naive. So why don't you bring out on table explicit reasons that make you feel the way you do.
On the other hand, there is no harm in having a King Sized Ego as long as you're open to new ideas, rational thoughts, open and adaptive to change! Ego is often one of the most misinterpretted word in the English language and often used in negative extremes. However, the plain meaning of Self esteem or personality... no harm in feeling like a King

I wonder if we jats at all have any good quality? If we are really so bad, what efforts have you made or planning to make to change the things at least around you ? We all will join you if you have any concrete plans to improve the lot of Jats.

In simplest form, once a person gets two full meals, happiness is just the state of mind.

- Treatment of Women: I don’t agree with any one who want to justify the bad treatment of women by our folks just because others also do it. So to that extent, we need to do soul searching as to how to treat our women folks, be it mother, sister, aunt, relatives or spouse. Treating some one and every one with respect is the sign of civilization and education. While we might have difference of opinion, there is no need to get physical in search of solution or to impose your opinion. Education is the key. Reasoning should be the method and discussion should lead to results.
- Mannerism: I don’t think one can generalize the entire community based on the behavior of few individuals. We do have some wonderful people in our community both in villages (even uneducated) and cities. The society is made up of all kind of the people. Once again ignorance and lack of education some times leads to the behavior that we observe among the people. Some time it may be our own perception or even fixed ideas that may be the cause of trouble.
- Learning from Mistakes: Intelligent people learn from other’s mistakes and adamant people don’t learn even from their own mistakes. But once again it takes all kind of people to make the world.
