Bhai Haryana mein Tau Devilal ki party ne 85/90 seats jeeti thee 1987 ke election mein!
Ye baat aur hai ki unki sarkar 5 saal poore nahi kar paayi thee!

Cheers!

Same happened with Janta party in 1977. Let us hope AAP government lasts full term and provides clean and efficient governance. Let us hope there in no leg pulling and confrontation between central government and AAP government. One thing very important coming out from these elections is that Indian public doesn't mind taking risk in political entrepreneurship. Like in business, its a very important that people do the same in politics also. In long run this will build nation's political capital. Oldies like me are averse to risk taking. Let us hope there is no infighting in AAP and government does not fall premature like Janta party government in 1977. Mandate is so massive that even a break away fraction of AAP can make a government.

Free wifi. :boxing:

AAP made many poll promises which caught the imagination of the Delhi voter. One such promise was about the 15 lakh CCTV cameras, which was not quantified in the manifesto, yet Kejriwal declared it and the media hyped it. This may as well become one of AAP’s “chunavi jumla” because as we have explained before, it just may not be feasible. Another often repeated promise was that of “Free WiFi in entire Delhi”.

This Free WiFi promise though was clearly specified in their 70 point programme for Delhi:
38. Wi-Fi Delhi: We will make Wi-Fi freely available in public spaces across Delhi. Citywide Wi-Fi can help in bridging the digital divide. It will also provide an impetus to education, entrepreneurship, business, employment, and also tie in with women’s safety initiatives.

Note that there are no terms and conditions attached here. But today, this newspaper clipping is doing the rounds, which quotes AAP MLA and former Apple executive Adarsh Shastri, who adds that there are some “Terms and Conditions” to Free WiFi:

As per the news report, the Free WiFi will be subject to following conditions:

1. WiFi only in Public places
2. WiFi will be free for the first 30 minutes after which it is chargeable
3. WiFi cannot be used for “Private uses” such as Email, Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp

India must stop purchasing arms from Israel
The Aam Aadmi Party demands that both Houses of Parliament should immediately pass unanimous resolutions condemning the completely unjustified Israeli attacks on Gaza and should not allow the Narendra Modi government to reverse the decades-old stand of the country on this important issue. The AAP also demands that the Indian government must seek action against Israel's repeated and widespread violations of human rights. It must stop purchasing arms from Israel, since these revenues appear to be used to oppress the people of Palestine.

Though the Rajya Sabha is scheduled to discuss this important matter on Monday, the NDA government has been shockingly resisting a similar demand in the Lok Sabha.

The AAP would like to remind the BJP government that irrespective of the party in power at the Centre, India has consistently followed Mahatma Gandhi’s famous line since 1938 that if the French can have France and the English can have England, then Palestine must belong to the Palestinians.

The Modi government’s ambigious stand and refusal to condemn the Israeli aggression at this crucial juncture violates the well settled principles of Indian foreign policy. It also raises serious questions about the dangerous direction in which the Narendra Modi government appears to be taking the country's foreign policy.

The BJP government’s stand on Gaza has lowered India’s standing in the international community. Earlier the UPA and now the NDA government, both were gradually tilting towards Israel, but the latest action of the Modi government has hit a new low.

The all-out assault by the Israeli military, especially the air force, on Palestinian civilians in Gaza, is a gross violation of international human rights norms and instruments including the Geneva conventions. While the AAP deplores the killing of three Israeli settlers, this can be no excuse for the rampant killing of Palestinian civilians, with the toll rising above 150. We call on the UN, the UN Human Rights Council, and other international bodies, to intervene and stop this bloodbath.

Currrently, the Palestinian people are living under an oppressive military rule. It is clear, as recommended by various international bodies including those affiliated to the UN, that the demand for an independent and unified Palestine is an urgent necessity. The Aam Aadmi Party is of the firm view that India should not resile from its earlier principled position on Palestine. It should support the demand for an independent Palestine.

This is what is going on social media now;

New Government of Delhi has 1825 days to keep their promises of:
- 500 new schools
- 20 new colleges
- 1500000 CCTV cameras
- 2000000 public toilets
So at an average:
- a school to be started every 3.65 days
- a college to be started every 91.25 days
- aCCTV to be installed in every two minutes
- a public toilet to be build in every 13 minutes
All this to be funded by 50% cut in electricity tariff, VAT reduction, free water and WiFi .
Ready for the ride.....
OR Ready to see a blame game Again.... for the Central Govt...i.e. BJP
(Hope that it doesn't happen)....

Mission impossible. Kejriwal will say after 1 year. I promised because I thought modi will bring that 5 lakh crors black money back. So there wouldn't be problem with funding.

Brother It's iPhone 6. But Kumar Viswas is a full time famous poet and part time politician. Having a Iphone6 or lamborghini Gallardo doesn't matter when you buy it from your own pocket. Even having a iPhone is not a big deal in India.
