Let's assume you have a vote in Delhi and you will definitely exercise it. In Delhi, there are usually only 2 choices: Congress or BJP. Now there is Kejriwal's AAP as well. The people who cheered Anna and Kejriwal in their anti-corruption movement are very similar in profile to the people on this forum. So when it comes to vote, will you vote for AAP in the next Delhi Assembly elections? Technically you have the choice, even if you are a diehard Modi/Rahul Gandhi fan.
There is a great article by the usually brilliant Manu Joseph. One line stood out for me: “Arvind Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party will debut in electoral politics this November and contest all 70 seats in the Delhi assembly elections. On trial will be the people of Delhi themselves, and a beloved Indian hypothesis that they deserve better than rotten politicians.”
