World's fastest train: China

A little of the Topic but please bear with me

Sir ji, I will be very blunt but if you are wearing anything that is made from animal product, be it shoes, belts, clothes or furnitures; It is made only after killing the animal and in most cases it is done brutally (doesnt matter whether it is from china or anywhere else). I fully support your perceptive and your compassion for animals but then it should be full hearted.

I confronted my bhramin and jaini friends on the same issue. They would not eat even eggs but on the contrary they are fine with wearing leather jackets, shoes, belts, other accessories and driving car with leather seats. Infact that is done by choice not otherwise.

Sir ji, even if you contributing marginally to the cause by cutting down on your consumption but 5 % then also I would be very impressed. Atleast some animals are bring saved. And this is not for you but for everyone. I have made the resolution to try my best to not to use animal product. I get little hyper because of my compassion for animals so please forgive my rudeness and for going off the topic.

The more the country is developed, the more it exploits the resources. japan almost eliminated the marine life on its side, US uses almost half of the world oil to the extent that it drilled a hole in the ozone layer. I dont have the bio data of every country but everyone is culprit. When India progresses more then it will also exploit the resources to it benefits. we got to suck it up

Those brothers and sisters who are smitten by chinese progress, here is a food for thought. Developing roads and electricity is just one aspect of development, losing your compassion is 'Chinese'. Watch this video below...

WARNING: THIS VIDEO IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. I HAD TEARS COMING OUT ON WATCHING THIS VIDEO. THE UGLY SIDE OF CHINESE IS SHOWN HERE.
CAUTION: IF YOU LOVE YOUR PETS PLEASE DO NOT WATCH THIS VIDEO. GIVE THEM A HUG, SOME FOOD AND SOME WATER. Make sure you protect them.

I watched this video about 6 months ago, I made it a point I will never buy anything made in china. I would much rather pay more money to buy products made from other countries.
:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Just to correct you, that it is not China but Japan. The man is saying in Japanese "I will push you, please go inside"

Thanks for confirming. Someone in office had shown it to me earlier and he said it is Japanese. But apprarently, youtube has it as both chinese and japanese. Anyways, I think this is a bit old. And crowding on public transport is a world wide problem, not specific to India/China/whatever. It happens in GREAT Britain all the time. A colleague of mine once joked to a female passenger (stranger) that she should let him know if she bears his child as people were so squeezed against each other!

PS: You know Japanese!?

Is this that alive Racoon's skin peeling off video?
I cant open youtube here thats y asked.

Nice one ...

Secondly, I think we must be clear what we wanna discuss here; or at least i am confused with some of the cross discussions:
...is it across the state lines access train/rail improvements (high-speed trains) we are talking about OR inner city public transit systems?...

Because in the case of the latter; trust me when I say that what the Country's administration achieved with the New Metro system in Delhi (considering the same challenges I just mentioned of building in a dense urban area; and creating such a marvelous system out of all the investment/economic issues and hardships the country faces...and doing it in a highly timely fashion and on the given deadlines) is an example of great implementation of public transit system even in the west! (I can tell you about here in the US where a lot of folks - it being widely covered in the news and all at that time...folks...well, at least the ones that appreciate what it truly means in this new era of global infrastructure improvements etc.... were all gaga about it!)... made one very proud to be representing a country that managed that feat in these times!!! :)

----

P.S. @ Meera,
Look, when someone points out any kind of concerns and/or challenges that they see (and rightly maybe even feel highly frustrated about) in a public forum meant only for his/her fellow countrymen (birds of same feathers) then it should PLEASE not immediately by default be looked at as some 'disillusioned' NRI criticizing his country to the world... We are after all among our peers here.

Add to that the fact that were the same valid (or not) discussion points been presented by (and have been presented by) someone residing in India ….and then folks like you would not (and never do) 'split-hair' about ‘where loyalties lie’, I think makes it highly prejudicial and a sort of unfair 'generalization' of us folks residing out of the country ….a country that we love and respect and place on a pedestal above any other one that we may live, work or play in at any point or time in our lives!!!....

glad to learn this Shailendra ji. like you pointed out about feelings/cocerns disguised in frustation. i just meant to say there are better constructive ways rather than ridiculing over population, system, politicians evry time.

Meera ji because we are opportunist people.. We found it damn hard to live with that system and found something comfortable offshore for ourselves.
We wan to work 5 days in a week.. we don't want to drive in potholes.. we don't want to spend 7 hrs to travel 200km..
There is so much to add in the list..

I bet.. Please add single competitor in rail system.. Indian railway won't even survive for an year..
Let me tell you, everybody living out of India is doing a great job to this nation by increasing its Foreign reserve, Bringing new ideas and obviously becoming brand ambassador of this country..
Many times foriegners asked me that if I have ever witnessed any bomb blast, rape or murder in India.. What should I answer them??

yudhvirmor ji, country nd world doesnt owe a life to us.we need to make else than cringing over common issues here n there. if someone thinks dat way, its pretty much like believing in a *platonic noble lie*. if some foreigner ask abt the things u mentioned, answer like an opportunist as u hv choosen.

Yeah .. metro got off to a good start with the right kind of people at the helm. Once the public started liking the metro, politicians could not touch it because we know they turn everything to $hit.
I would not worry about people calling out NRI's on every little thing they write here - they are just annoying and tedious - whiny little pricks. Who gives a crap what they think!

otherwise aplicable too siddarth ji.
it was delhi CM( a politician) who made dis happen.

meera i didn't fell into my present country of residence by waving a magic band. neither did i got any flying magic carpet with a squeeze rubber bubble horn tht helped me land here. being born nd brought up in delhi... i've seen delhi more closely than you. i've sweated for hours at dtc bus stops nd hv queued up at bus depots to get tht rs. 12.50 dtc student pass. delhi has grown right in front of my eyes. gurgaon, noida, sectors of f'bad didn't existed in early 90's. don't get dis-illusioned by tht dashing display pic of mine... पूरे पचपन साल की उम्र चूसे पडा हूँ मैं... होनेस्टली स्पीकिंग... नो जोक्स.

i can go on nd talk on the subject for hours together. not a single word can be doubted in my previous post quoted by you. pick up one line nd throw a challenge on me, trust me you'll stand no ground.

about doing 0.0001% for the sake of the country... let me tell you honestly... i might be doing 100% more than yr assumption when it comes to me as an individual nd within my capacity nd capabilities. this by no means be taken as uncalled blabbering or a mere show-off.

... for rest of the answer, i thank shail nd yudhvir for the explanation given below.

brahmtevtia sir, i m sorry if i did hurt ur sentiments by anything. i wrote abt d challange u were throwing abt 25 yrs from now like a perfect astrologer. country u people are comparing were nt predicted to face 2nd biggest depression of history. once again delhi n country doesn owe a life to anyone. we as a citizen hav to make it.

Actually a German Shepard - Alsation dog that is skinned alive. This dog was wagging his tail when the guy with knife came to skin him alive. This video is so disturbing, I am at loss for words. Worst part is this dog was someone's pet, these people stole him from some dog park or someone's house.
All I can say is, all these pets that are killed by chinese their souls RIP and if there is any justice in nature, chinese will pay for their cruelty, atrocity in time. It does not matter if I am alive or not at that time, but sure as hell I will rejoice in their misery.

There is a humane way and there is chinese way. Humane way is what happens in US, Canada where bear, and deer population that grows more than prescribed level is opened for hunters. It keeps their population in check and keeps the hunters (our innate skill) in good humor. There has to be sembalance in it. Chinese know nothing about it.

Sir ji,
Murder to murder hota hai. There is no humanity in nurturing and killing "helpless" animals. Such hunting seasons are the result of "Human" games only that created the imbalance in the food chain in this region. Population of controllers (wolves) were checked by humans only.

I know a little bit of Japanese and can distinguish between Japanese, Thai, Chinese and Korean Language. My friend was was with at at the time I saw the video, she told me the translation. In Japan this is a very common thing during rush hours on the routes to Tokyo. Even if the next train is after 2 mins, the situation is still the same. They consider it trivial matter though I was personally shocked to see this. In Japan most people use public transport and it is one of the most densely populated country.

China has unveiled world's fastest train - speeds touch upto 400 kmph. The line is 1000 km long, it took them 4 years to complete the project. They are planning to introduce 17 new routes in the next 3 years.

Our Rajdhani travels at 70 kmph.
It would be great if we had such trains between major cities because trains are several times environmentally friendly compared to airplanes.

Here is the report:

Sid,
Have a look here. Seems you have entered in the head of Mamta.

Don't know how come our leaders passes such comments..Last week i was watching parliamentary discussion about our railway administration..A BJP leader was questioning our Railway minister about government inability to meet the expected profits even after such a huge population using our rail network.Trains are fully booked and our railway profits are far away from the expectations..Food served in first class reservation is either expired or is of very low quality and one can imagine the situation in general class.Who will take care of health and hygiene. Those stinking toilets..And the list goes on and on..Some Visions require some prerequisites.

Pooh...Sid Bhai...living in 70s I think...getting lured towards the trains.
If we didn't have any means of travelling faster then it could be a issue that we don't have so fast trains as other countries have. If we have domestic airlines (most economic ones in world) then why to aspire for such a fu**able train.

Best train between Delhi-Bangalore is Rajdhani express. It takes almost 36 hours and distance is around 2200 km. So avg speed comes to approx 62KMPH.

I think Sid is till quoting high. Though max speed of Radhani is 160 Kmph..

gulaam log kabhi tarakki nahi kar sakte
hum indians aaj bhi gulaam hai, gulaam maansikta hai hamari
jab tak vo door nahi hogi hum kabhi tarakki nahi kar sakte.
slow chalne wali train to safe hain nahi hamare desh main, super fast main kya safety hogi hum sab jaante hain
