'' O Lady! We recieve but what we give
And in our life alone doth nature live''
--Coleridge

Sky-kissing snow crowned mountaine ranges, speedy rainy rivers, deep dark clouds, green tress, freshly blossomed flower buds, diamond like glowing stars in the vast lap of infinite blue sky, musical pure waterfalls give us a serene feeling of oneness with ourselves and visible world. This brilliant visible universe through which we interact with our own beauty , isn't surely different from us.Basically if this is different from us, then how come ; this can move our inner world and surprise us?

The ideal which this universe is following is not different than our own ideal.Natural scenary equals the ideal of universality with ideal of diversity. I believe these natural gifts are language of Supreme.People who ignore these; I think they are culprits of disrespecting the honourable words of God in its most excellent expression.

Only worshiping of beauty provides sole proof of oneness among human existence and visible universe. When we ideally place the divine beauty of men and women with ; smooth voice of cuckoo, joy of jumping fish in clean water, careless walk of elephant, fast moves of lioness, innocent wide eyes of deer, tenderness of soft roses, glow of fresh snow, calmness of full grown night, redness of early morning newly formed clouds, slow motion of royal awans, politeness of riped fruit branches, arrogance of cool breeze ; then in our worship of beauty we introduce the oneness present in the whole universe. Isn't it?

But we must be carefull that a thing of beauty is only beautiful unless we dnt try to make any kind of personal benefit from this. Whenever there is pursuation of benifits then joy of worshipping beauty is gone. People who look beauty with the desire of greed and collection , they never get beautiful beauty rather world's whole beauty is easily accessible for non selfish admirers.

Swami Ram Teertarh Says someweher about it as :

'Apne Maze Ki khatir Gul Chod Hi Diye Jab,
Rue-Jamin ke Gulshan Ban Gaye Sab!
Khud ke Liye Jo Mughse Deedo Ki Deed Chutti,
Khud Husan ke Tamashe Mer Hi Ban Gaye Sab.!!

Does a fish hunter feel the same beauty of fish as by a worshiper of beauty?
After plucking a flower from its branch we experience that natural color, scent and beauty has faded.

Supporting the stablity of beauty infact is the real worship of beauty.

This worship is far from sectarian cults and is universally applicable.

By this very worship of beauty we see a glance of that Universal beauty which provides unique beauty to every single thing in world. i.e Supreme Mystical Creator. This brilliant visible nature becomes the real idol of dreams.
Ideal of Diversity and Universality meets in the worship of beauty. Also it sets the clear difference of consious and subconsious.World turns in to the favour of our happiness.Hence our own prison becomes fort of joy. With this Samar takes the beauty of rest.:)

Thanks.

a thing of beauty

A thing of beauty is a joy forever
Its loveliness increases , it will never
Pass into nothingness; but will keep
A bower quiet for us , and a sleep
full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing.

Good thoughts flow Samar , and i appreciate the idea , probably a food for thought for you would be to propose a solution for why actually we do have to mar the beauty of "beauty"! :) The obvious argument in the favour of culprits would the natural urge to fulfill the physical needs! For sure the counter argument could be to essentially segregate the needs and greeds , but would be interesting to hear from the author , that is you!

Hi Samar , not a poet or writer like you ... but was just listeing to this song yesterday when the coincidence in the description of nature struck me , hope u dont mind me putting these lines :

Dil kahe ruk jaa re ruk jaa
yahin pe kahin
jo baat is jagah
hai kahin par nahi
jo baat is jagah hai kahin par nahi !!

parbat upar khidke khole
jhaanke sundar bhor
chale pawan suhaani
nadiyon ke yeh raag raseele
jharnon ka yeh shor
bahe jhar jhar paani
madbara madbhara samnaa
ban ghula ghula
har kali sukh pali yahan
ras ghula ghula
to dil kahe
ruk jaa re ruk jaa
yahin pe kahin
jo baat is jagah
hai kahin par nahi :)

neeli neeli jheel mein jhalke neel gagan ka roop
bahe rang ke dhaare
unche unche ped ghanere chanti jinse dhoop
khade baanh pasaare
champayi champayi fijaa
dil khila khila
daali daali chidiyon ki sadaa
sur mila mila
to dil kahe
ruk jaa re ruk jaa
yahin pe kahin
jo baat is jagah
hai kahin par nahi :)

pariyon ke yeh jamghat jinke foolon jaise gaal
sabhi shokh hatheeli
inmein hai woh alhad
hirni jaisi chaal
badi chail chabeeli
manchali manchali adaa
sab jawaan jawaan
har ghadi chadh raha
sudh rahi kahan
to dil kahe ruk jaa re ruk jaa
yahin pe kahin
jo baat is jagah
hai kahin par nahi

:)

Yes Anil, this song is timeless and I must thank you for bringing these beautiful lines here as it would be very easy to interpret what I meant by ''Worship Of Beauty'' , ''Oneness of Diversities and Commanalties'' and many more.. This world seems to move with the species Humane as the unique sense of expressing we have got through language. While looking at visible world 'singer/actor' seems to connect everything with what he likes most and in a world of never ending joy..

In response to your previous query I would say that greed/need would lend the one with limited joy or say restricted compared to the almost complete joy by the one who is all pateint and non-selfish. Its very obvious Anil that like in nature, populace too is diverse in pysche but purest things are always at top.

Nice Ideas.

It' is....great description indeed.......
but m surprised can cool breeze be arrogant....!!!!

Well a fisher may not even think about the beauty aspect.... n true that flowers look b'ful on plants n trees.... but they look no less in a bouquet also.... n how much happiness it may give to the one who recieves them.... just consider it... Isn't it.....!!!!

Le me take a stab at this one , my lil artistic sense.

Arrogance of cool breeze can be attributed to the fact that it does not care about any one else including all humans , it has its own way of going about things , own timings... hence the metaphor.

Regarding flower's destination i am reminded of that poem from class 9th -10 ( i forgot which one ) titled as 'EK Boond' in which the poet describes the thought process of a drop of rain and ultimately it falls into a open "Seep" and becomes a pearl.

Some thing similar touched me somewhere and it was related to flower in which the flowers think that their destination could be the god's feet or the roads.

Just vague attachments!

Thanks for acknowledgement.

Am also reminded of the poem ( 3rd or 4th ) in class 9th-10 ( not sure) in which the poet describes the morning sky...

was something like :

geru pees ke rang diya ho aasmaan ....

anybody volunteering to reporduce that ? was a great piece!

n true that flowers look b'ful on plants n trees.... but they look no less in a bouquet also....

Once Arnold Bennett visited George Bernard Shaw in his apartment and, knowing his host's love of flowers, was surprised that there was not a single vase of flowers to be seen. He remarked on their absence to Shaw: "But I thought you were so fond of flowers."

"I am," said Shaw, "and I'm very fond of children, too, but I don't chop off their heads and stand them in pots about the house."

(As a raindrop left the clouds it started to think why did I leave the comfort of home?)

(O God! what is in my fate...will I fall on a heap of dirt...will I fall on amber and get burned or will I land on a (beautiful) lotus flower?)

bah gayii us kaal ek aisii hawaa

Nice write-up Samar!!!

Perhaps in the above lines you are talking about people who behave offensive and for personal joy. Not for who do this for their living. In the later case appreciation takes back seat.

once arnold bennett visited george bernard shaw in his apartment and, knowing his host's love of flowers, was surprised that there was not a single vase of flowers to be seen. He remarked on their absence to shaw: "but i thought you were so fond of flowers."

"i am," said shaw, "and i'm very fond of children, too, but i don't chop off their heads and stand them in pots about the house."

how sweet they were !!!!!!

Well, Beauty is in the Eyes of Be Holder...errr Beer Holder! hehehe!

Am in kinda rush, so no time to read this quality write up for the time, will go thro' it laterz but I always say - 'Beautiful things should always be appreciated!'

Rock on

"Nine planets round the sun, only one does the sun embrace. Upon this watered one, so much we take for granted; So let us sleep outside tonight, lay down in our mother's arms, for here we can rest safely … One sweet world around a star is spinning - One sweet world - And in her breath I'm swimming, and here we will rest in peace."

Chasma utaro fir dekho yaaro, Duniya nayi hai chehra purana

Yaani najariye ka fark hai, I mean your perception or attitude towards a person, place , a thing or an object makes it most beautiful and likable or ugliest and unlikable.

Abb aap iss Shayar ki kalpana / nazar ko hi dekh lijiye:

Maine Masoom baharono mein tumhe dekha
Maine Purnoor Sitaron mein tumhe dekha
Mere Mehboob teri parda-nashi ki kasham
Maine julfon ki kataaron mein tumhe dekha
……

Also as Cooljat has said, “ Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder”
Koi isse Rajasthan ke registan mein dhundta hai, to koi Himmalay ki chotiyon par
Koi Tarai ke jangalon mein dhundta hai, to koi Mumbai ki Sadkono par

Yo Harvinder bhai Haryane ki galion, khet khaliyano mein dhundta hai

Dhoond to yo hamaara Samar bhi raha par chasme laga rakhe hai iss liye sahi chees nazar nahi aa rahi aur issi liye logono se poochhta firta hai!

Aur fir kavi ki kalpana ka to koi chhor hi nahi

Guljar ji ki iss sunder kriti ko hi dekh lijiye:

Mera kuch saamaan tumhare paas pada hai
saavan ke kuch bheege bheege din rakhe hain
aur mere ik khat main lipti raat padi hai
woh raat bhulaa do, mera woh saamaan lauta do
mera kuch saamaan tumhaare paas pada hai

Aapka man Sunder hai,to Aapki Nazar Sunder hai
Aapki Nazar sunder hai to saari Duniya Sunder hai
The one with this Nazar (Attitude) is a true worshiper of beauty

Cheers!

The worship of beauty can be justified easily, that is okay ; but does this make ugliness a subject of hatred and abandon?

No!! The Very existence of beauty depends on ugliness. No matter how much beautiful thing feels proud of its beauty but that is considered beautiful on the situation of ugly things(relative presence and so.)One eyes person is considered greater in the crowd of blinds.

There is more to say in the favour of ugliness.A non-beautiful thing is the pavement of beautiful one.Lotus flower's beauty is owed to the stench and rose bloosms among thorns.Diamonds are digged from coal mines.Silk is derived from insects.Moon appears in indefinite sky.Various life saving herbs are found in deep dark valleys.Cute and innocent deer has its abode in big dark forests.Likely flowers and fruits are attributed to big trees.Beautiful and delicate twigs, shoots on branches are related to rusty and big strong roots of trees.
Human civilizations dwell on vegetation around and flourishing vegetation depends on presence of water, air and sand.

From where your beautiful attire has come? Were those sandy dirty field beautiful from which produced soft cotton? Was that farmer who worked day and night to make this field fertile, was beautiful, soft and delicate like you?
Was that machine not run on the energy of black coal to shape that cotton in to a refined and designer cloth?

The labour who works in a mill possibly not beautiful and fortunate like you and me.But if all these things had not been ugly ,these beautiful things would have not been accessible to us.

Both are part of the ocean of life and nature. Both are woven with a single thread. Both are mingled with each other. Then Why Ugliness is a subject of hatred?

I believe radius of hatred is directly propotional to the narrowness of our soul.We coin a beautiful thing beautiful because we see the reflection of our ideals in that beauty.May be.With the complete expansion of soul both beautiful and ugly looks same.No mother thinks, feels or say her kids ugly.It may be beacuse of fact that she looks herself in her kids as her expansion.
When we would try to see the whole world is us then probably an ugly person would look beautiful to us.It is not surprising if we cant be like that but surely that hatred for ugliness would be washed. No part of body is eqaully beautiful, then the beauty of body is not last statement for the beauty, rather soul's beauty is also countable.Aura of hard workers is comparatively more beautiful than good looking actors/actoresses.This might be because of their honest and hard work generated revernce. In a farmer's sweat drenched cloths , the beauty of his dutiful attitude, genesority and dolency is endorsed elegantly.

A non-beautiful thing is neither a subject of disrespect nor the matter of disregard. An Ugly particle is the member of His vast kingdom as is one Beautiful. Beauty arises from ugly.Ugly particles of sand and mannure produce lovable and beautiful flowers.Hard, unshaped rocks are created in to heart touching, amazingly beautiful ,soothing and enticing statue or idol.Whatever is ugly today will become beautiful in the course of time.

Thanks.
