I am not a maven in the field of understanding the meaning of words as you are . So i at times do have to refer to dictionary for meanings.
another reason i look for help from the written text is to look for another sense or interpretation of the word in the context i wish to see.
Anyways , that my personal way of doing things .
Anil, that was in lighter note and you can say my way of doing things. Now plz don't look into dictionary for the meaning of 'lighter" ....
Again i am not as genius as you are to interpret things at such a rapid pace . I hate using BIG words such as loyalty and commitment because to me these words do not have a single or a narrow interpretation and the context in which they are used and the range of areas , emotions , feelings in which they are ascribed to by writers is vast.
If u happen to read my posts carefully , i through the course of my posts and infact in the very neginning did make it clear that normal course of events cannot be moulded in this way.
Neither do i use these words so often or everytime because these words are not just words but a phenomenon that is strongly attached to a person and these words includes the whole character of a person.
But, normal or specific course of events, these words have the same meaning everytime and that doesn't change with situations or circumstances.
I was up for a exception and that is why i dealt it with care far greater than i should have ( at least after your remarks i feel so now).
Every situation is an exceptional case for someone. Agree or not ?
But i have not started doubting my convition as yet so i would like comment on the committment part and would say that instead of pouncing on the husband and humiliating him , we should be a little more spectical about the whole issue and should go for a closer look at things.
Anil, i am not accusing only husband for the whole situation. The girl is playing bigger role than the husband.
And Sir , committment as you say cannot be measured on the scale of just not doing the course of actions like not going further with the relationship with his sister in law.
Committment was utterly broken even when the slightest of the feelings came for another girl .
If we are up here for committment then it has to be present at all four levels of human faculty ( physical , mental , emotional and spiritual ).
If any person ( be it husband or wife in the marriage relationship) even thinks about having a relationship other than the marriage one and thus degreades the very sanctity of the "sacred marriage" , either he is not being a human or if it is , then there must be some very strong forces or causes behind it.
And for sure we are not talking about non humans ( as i believe for persons who break the ties for no reasons and for petty satisfaction , there cannot be any advices [] )here !
Yes, committment is broken for sure.
How can you be so sure that if committment is broken than there must be strong forces or causes behind that as the story only tell us that husband feels 'love' for that girl and the wife is somewhat doubtful about her husband.
Why she has doubts on her husband ? WHY ? Who knows except that wife, maybe the husband is a flirt by nature, or have extra-marital affairs and so on. Maybe husband is not faithful to wife and wife feels insecure. Or maybe the whole case is manipulated to achieve something.
Why to jump into conclusion that husband is not satisfied with her wife and he deserve satisfaction. In your opinion why only husband is getting sympathy. ( Who knows maybe he really deserve it but situation is still not clear untill ) If we want to dig out that why husband is doing so then we must know what is the reason behind wife's behaviour ..... maybe we come across some strange new facts about this STRANGE story.
Now let me ask you this one :
Suppose the man in question is not satisfied ( physically , mentally , emotionally , spiritually , a combination of all or some of these ) and i tell you that he is totally right and committed at his end , does he have to suffer throughout his life ??
IS his satiation of his soul nothing ! Just for the sake of pleasing the society , a soul remains in disarray for some 40 odd years.
You are right here, if the man is not satisfied, all of these( as u say ), he must not suffer throughout his life. But how can you distinguish that he is really satisfied or not. Is that any measure for this. Suppose a person is married for few years and get distracted from his wife, finds someone else and then say that he is not satisfied with his wife and needs someone else in his life.
The qusetion is what is real satisfaction ? Husband demands something from his wife ( maybe right or wrong .... ) and wife can't fulfill that for any reason ..... husband is not satisfied now and need someone else .... right ? because he must not suffer ........ what is suffering according to him ? Not to get his heart's desires ( reachable or unreachable .... right or wrong ..... ) Again who gonna decide that a person is suffering in real or trying to jeopradize things for the sake of selfishness ....
Think it again
