Dear Dharmpal Singh Dudee ji,

There are always two ways of doing things. A process oriented way or a non-process oriented way. Usually the non-process oriented way is by an individual or small organizations. The non-process way of doing thing doesn’t mean the hard work of individuals will not pay off. But then there is usually no defined structure of doing things. This is good for small-centralized projects.

The process-oriented methodology is needed when an organization is of bigger size and magnitude. Without a process, the project will just become chaotic. Processes driven projects are usually decentralized. This leads to having a structure to the project so that everybody on the project understands the goals and objectives of the project and the individual uses his energy to do the work in alignment of the goal of the project.

There are different ways of serving the kaum. One way is to become totally dedicated having only one mission in life with all dedication towards a self set goal. The other way is to balance a life and give as much input (materialistic/intellect) as possible from outside. Most of the onliners on Jatland.com (including me) don’t have resources today to totally give 100% of our energy, 100% of our savings, 100% of our time by working 100% on the groundwork. But I can say that we all have 100% of our passion, 100% of our dedication, 100% of our heart to do the best for our kaum in whatever ways possible. So if by writing the so-called essays can benefit somebody then so be it. If not we will strive to do as much as possible in time to come and we all have at not reached the tail end of the human life span. We will thrive to make a positive impact on our kaum

Thanks.

Education for future

Dear All
We have started many threads on Education.
Lots of time is lost on discussion with out any action.
whatever few sincere people suggested lost in endless debate.
Some made cheap fun out of it.
But the need of the hour is more stronger for better education.
The standradd of education is going down hill in Jat heartland.
Delhi- UP- Haryana & Panjab mae Jatoo ky pas Jamin to rahi nahi.
Right education hae hi nahi.
Vina Good education ky Jat ky bacho ko Majduri bhi nahi Milte.
What will be the future of Jat Kaum ?
Please Do some thing in this direction
Your thoughts are welcome.

Parents and Govt.

If we are really concerned there is no need of money, infrastructure or NGO's, save it for some other similar cause as we have govt. to care of this one. We have govt. schools in every village, some have two and really lucky ones have colleges too. All these schools are “supposed” to have qualified, properly screened and selected by staff, spacious buildings, budgets to cover costs, scholarships you name it.

All we got to do is to use these resources for our kids. You all know that I am making it sound uncomplicated but it’s not that complicated either. I have my father for example who rose from the same levels and went all the way to PhD in animal nutrition almost fifty five years ago plus he was a national champion in wrestling in his weight.

Let me ask you this, have you ever heard of villagers blocking highways because of poor results in schools or colleges? All I am saying here is that if the parents have will to get kids educated, they will get them educated even if they have to skip meals.

NGO’s and other out side help is always a bonus but can’t be the nerve of the revolution. I think we have to educate parents to educate their kids first and then see if the govt. schools are good enough or not, if they are not what else can we do to improve.

Amit you are very right here. The problem is very complex. Most of the Govt teachers are not up to the mark.Manny of them can't even speak proper Hindi.I don't understand the creteria of selecting these teachers, and as they serve for 60 years of age with immunity attached, thinking of educating them and bringing them at par with the best is out of question and thus the problem stares us in face.yes parents have to do their bit but again that is theproblem too as the most of these parents are themselves uneducated and are capable of saying one thing repeatedly...'padhh lyo na te rowo ge mharri dhhal.'

Unless some truely educated people with passion and zeal don't undertake this voyage,it will be a very difficult proposition.Quality jobs are few and educated people many and hence we all[who can make the difference] have to come out of our comfort zones, shake hands and do this impossible.People like Arya ji,Navin Guliya,Shailendra Tokas,Jagmohan ji are the right kind of catalysts amongst us to ignite the flame of passion for our blood. It is heartening that ATLEAST we know the magnitude of this problem and are sparing our valuable time to discuss it in right earnest.......may be....i say may be these pened down thoughts of worthy members could work as a stteping stone towards that challenging and tireless journey.I am SANGUINE atleast.

respected dharampal ji,
Education can rightly be regarded as one of the vital areas of development and especially assumes significant importance towards the cause of jat community. govt has made efforts since last 60 years but we have landed up with gross inequitous stage in education field. the most visible thing is rural- urban bias and then local-state level- regional -national- global bias.need of the hours seems to be integrate all these levels.
for example if i select 100 rural students they should be made competent enough so that in 1st stage minimum 30 students get all benefits of urban education. similarly out of 100 village students at least 30 should make imprint at state level; out of 30 at least 10 should make imprint at national level and out of 10 at least 2 at global level. but the ultimate aim should be develop world class infrastructure in rural area itself but that will take time. so at present realistic solutions should be worked out.
this presents a pyramidical growth and ensures that fresh vacancies are created at lower levels. so what should be the approach?
type of education
- vocational education should be the focus in 1st stage. however promising talents can be isolated for higher education.
- rural areas need heavy emphasis on english right from primary steges
- indian culture, morals and ethics should be compulsory passing subject not only theory but practical also ie some community oriented field work
- prelimnary knowledge of computer at high school level
- psychological orientation classes of students, teachers and parents because our people are not even ready to accept these changes and hence they should be prepared first.
- periodic updates about diversified job opportunities so that they come out of the stigma of being ignorant.
minimum aim and objective
- short term goal(5years)
- maximum enrolment and minimum dropouts
- creating widespread awareness through seminars etc
- providing services of quality teachers
- creating a lure for education among students especially english
- medium term goal(15-20 years)
- developing good infrastructure in rural areas
- developing rural - urban partnership ie exchange of students for short and periodic periods to generate competition
- granting adequate scolarships for capable students to do higher studies
- long term goals(2050)
- shining rural talent at global level ie creating role models
- every village must have provisions for quality education and every student to have command over english and computer.
how to achieve it?
- it can be achieved only through professional volunteer efforts.
- sound financial management holds the key
- there should be a heirarchial organisation ie from global to national to state to district to local level.
- adequate autonomy at all levels and org. should be democartic one
- financial management
- volunteer contribution
- panchayats may raise funds
- govt can contribute
- international org. can donate
- some kind of liberal education loan system so that beneficiaries can be made to reimburse the amount spent on them
- students can do some kind of community service on sundays and can charge community for the same
- org. must have a fixed capital which should be invested in less risk market to generate continous dividends.
- all beneficiaries and members should be the donating members of org. acc to their capcity.
in that way this org. can become a sustainable one and contribute more effectively.
sincerely yours
vikas narwal

joint action in rural education

respected dhrampal ji,
we have made a right begining by taking up this issue. what is utmost needed at this stage is to regularly take up this issue from a fresh angle so that spirit and enhusiasm doesnot fade out. if we actively think on the issue it is highly probable that in near future we shall be tempted to realize our goals through endless efforts. and from here will start achain reaction that will surely lead to ultimate realization of our objective.
like me there are many young aspirants who want to contribute in this noble cause but at present stage of consciusness they are restricted by many psychological, family, social, economical, ideologiacal and many other such barriers.
hence i feel that we must take this issue periodically(may be 15 days) from a fresh angle providing direction as to
what to do
why to do
when to do
how to do
providing suitable approach acc to each individual capacity
youth need the guidance of vast experience of our elders so that we can go in right direction and can do some productive work to bring a sustainable change in the society
sincerely yours
vikas narwal
