There is no logic in whatever you have written..
No wonder! You think there is no logic in what I said, because you lack the intellect to understand what I said.
You prove once again that you do not know zilch about economcs. Show some grace and walk out of the discussion and return with some feasible arguments.
you choose govt every 5 years in India..everytime you vote you know you have to pay taxes..people only expect tax rebates not tax abolition with growing economy. have you ever seen any economist talking about over all tax abolition in election in any country in this world..just think on it and will know what economics is.
Why do you think people expect tax rebates? Because you know how to spend your money better than government can spend it for you.
Yes I know of Economists who believe in total abolition of taxation. Go to
www.mises.org
It is the home of the Austrian School of Economics. It differs from the traditional Kenesian school of Economics on matters such as taxation. Due to the Governments' focus on Kenesian solutions for Ecnomic problems, taxation has shot through the roof.
Every year in the US government spends nearly 40 percent of what the entire country makes. That stands out to be around 8 trillion dollars. And the government still runs budget deficits. What a shame. They are still short on money inspite all all th money they throw around on stupid wars and foreign aid.
raods was only an example everything around you is Govt just open your eyes for that.
Roads is the only example that people gie me because they lack any good examples.
I can give you ample examples of how free-market has made life better for us.
When the government opened up the telecommunication industry for competition, people did not stop having telephones at homes. Infact services have become much cheaper and more people have telephone service in India than before liberalization.
When government opened up the civil aviation sector for privatization, it did not cause the cessation of domestic flights in India. Infact it is much cheaper to fly within India with private airlines, than it was when it was dominated by Indian Airlines.
Give me one example of the service that the government has provided and has become cheaper for the consumer with time. I jsut know of things getting more expensive every year when government provides them to us.
govt is not monopoly...monoploy is seen in private sector like you see Wal mart..microsoft..intel. Because of walmart so many people lost their business..its capitalism which leads to monoploy not the democratic govts.
Yes! government is a monopoly.
When government makes a decision, is there a parallel decision maker that can challenge the government's decisions. Governments decisions are final. No one can challenge them.
What operating system do you use? Where do you buy your groceries.
Did microsoft put a gun on your head (assuming you use Windows) to get you to use Windows? Did apple put a gun on your head (assuming you use a mac) to get you to use a mac? Did some linux developer put a gun on your head to get you to use their product?
Or, dis Walmart ever put a gun on anyones head to get them to shop at walmart. It infact does an excellent job at cutting costs and passing on the savings to the consumer in terms of cheap prices.
There is an alternative to Microsoft's products and Walmart's groceries. If you do not like them you can use someone elses goods and services. Because there is a choice for the consumer in this case, Microsoft and Walmart are not monopolies.
Intel aint a monopoly either. You can always choose AMD processors if you do not like Intel's products.
And if you do not like any of the brands out there, make your own Processor. No one will stop you from doing that.
But, try building your own roads, and lets see if the government tries to let you do that.
That is why government holds monopoly over certain goods and services.
Do you think that Microsoft, Intel and Walmart will be there forever. The day someone sells things cheaper than Walmart, Walmart wont be there anymore. The day someone makes a better OS than Microsoft, it will bite the dust. And if you make a better processor than Intel,

I will buy your processor.
its not about enlightened soul but about a responsible citizen...today you are avoiding taxes then what the country can expect from you if your service is needed at border...you will say give it to private entrepreneurs...yes we have seen that phase too...britishers were the private entrepreneurs who even looked after our borders but you know what kind of life our ancestors were in that rule. Now donot tell me that its our govts responsibilty to defend the borders and maitain law and order because if you say so than you have to pay taxes.
How would you rate the government on a scale of 1 to 10? 10 means you are very highly satisfied, and 1 means you have no hopes from the government.
Just like our government tells us that they are defending our borders, the Pakistani government gives the same Bulls**t to its people. Governments on both sides are fooling their people.
I do not want to have anything to do with this hosility. And I am sure most people on both sides think alike. Have you ever been to Pakistan? Have you ever spoken to the people there? I have. So you do not have the moral grounds to argue with me on this one.
I do not think that anything has changed after the British left, except for voting rights. And I do not wish to exercise that right either. Because I do not want anything from the government. I just want them to leave me alone.
I do not think that it is the duty of every citizen to pay taxes, just like it is not the duty of any resident to pay haftaa to a local badmaash.
But, for the sake of the argument, even if we assume that it is our duty as citizens to pay taxes, you are wrong. How well does the government despense its own duties. It fails miserable at just everythings. So if the government fails at its duty, why are we the citizens expected to be loyal and responsible about our duties?
