Hi All. Coming back to Jatland after a long time. I was just thinking about the problem and thought we should make one group of people who can identify few really needy brilliant students and fund their studies. Lot of us r working in foreign countries and earning in pounds and dollars. If we can just shell out 50-100 £ or $ once in 2-3 months can help a lot of needy students. we can't help all but few really needy can be given help in this way. If we really want to help someone and not just keep on discussing these all ir-relevant points then please give ur suggestions. I m ready to shell out some amount every month for this noble cause.

Thanks and regards
Kuldeep Ahlawat

Bhai Kuldeep,

Bahut aachi soch hai ... aur aacha sujhav bhi. Lekin iske peeche bhi kafi pechedagi aa jati hein. For example JJ. Janjagriti NGO jo ki yahan jatland pe hi kuch members ne shuru ki thi issi terah ki soch ke baad ... aur usko ek NGO ka roop bhi de diya gaya. NAJC come forward to help... uske liye FCRA chahiye ... aur FCRA ke liye pata nahi kitne dhakke khane padenge abhi navin bhai ko... kyonki abhi tak nahi mila hai .... may be we have to bribe somewhere to someone for this to get it done else it will be pending like this only. Mein ye sochta hun ki jo ye log itni ngos bahar se paisa leti hein kya un saro ke paas hai kya ye FCRA's or dont we have any other options of receiving money like GUPT DAAN :).

JJ is facing money crisis and now Chillar bhai came forward with some amount per month. Bhai what I feel is that on jatland JJ is requesting for so long and there are limited number of people who come forward for help. Ab wo bhi kitni baar karenge .... so for such kind of thoughts we should think of some constant source of economic help. So that the efforts carry on without getting derailed in middle.

Haan sujhav aapka aacha hai .... JJ can pick such students who are intelligent and have calibre to do good but due to economic issues they leave studies in between. But before that we have to keep the NRIs together and get some permanent members with some constant/minimum contribution that may be small so that we would have some estimate atleast. That amount multiplied in indian rupees will change somebodys life definatly.

I would suggest you to have a separate thread to call members or their known ones who are outside and are willing to support. Have some permanent members and with constant/minimun contribution amounts for an year initially. May this work. Provide suggestions for JJ as having a separate stream each time will not help. Its really a pure NGO with people who are willing to work for society and no personal benefits. So best I can see is to provide some more thoughts to this only if you found it lacking somewhere. And make it robust by this noble thought of economic help.

Kuldeep has good suggestion, members please respond.

.
Today's report in Times of India (Kidney racket busted in Gurgaon) reminded me of this thread. Some greedy doctors are bringing a bad name to this respectable profession.

.
This racket was not only active in Gurgaon but in other states also UP,Andhra pradesh,Mumbai etc. This is only 1 racket there r many more rackets of doctors who take advantage of poor people for their own profit.
shame on these kind of doctors.

Dear Chiller Sahab,
I really did not understood your post. If it is just a humor then it is OK even though it did not merit on this topic at this time. If it is a comment on what the situation is then it is disappointing.

I think we are lucky one and every one is not as lucky as we may be. It is time for us to do some thing for the poor people of our community whatever little we can. Least we can do is not to make fun of their helplessness.
Never wanted to make it sound serious but the reason I wrote this to make the starter of this thread realize that one lives with whatever comes to him or her including this girl. As far as help goes how much all the benign ones on this thread have donated her so far?

Good that we have Mr. Arya and AJATA but just so you know we have govt of India as well as Haryana to help these kids get better education than Molana for almost for free but for that you got to be competent 'enough'. Now, when it comes to helping ‘all’ such kids in India or the whole world for that matter, is not easy (hasn't been accomplished so far at least, I will be glad though).

On the side, even if that girl goes to a BDS or JBT, socially no worries as long as she serves responsibly. India for sure needs a lot more doctors than we have today but then we need lot more dentists too with all due respect. I know there is a huge difference between the two but not all can be given everything that too in donation and those who don't deny to agree to the idea will be pronounced insensitive.

A poiont worth noting

Many a times on JL and else where in our socity i have noticed that ppl related to Army/ defense, medical profession are kind of either heros or angels ..... well for me it is a myth .... as thats a way of life for them, must not to be forgotten fact is that these ppl choose these professions to live a life and not to serve ..... it may be due to passion, hardship or any other valid reason .... yes one has to be respected if he/she is doing his bit for nation but then what to talk about sweepers and peons arent they contributing to the socity ... we at many times glorify certin things and forget the rest .... a socity according to me is a mechanism in which every single thing ia as relevent as the other .... just being sensitive on the fact that this girl is from a fauji family... sorry the idea dosent appeal me .....

yes the topic is sad ... that someone was not able to get education because of money ... waise i know couple of "SO callled - not so well of family's" whoose kids have been able to get into higher studies and are faring well today ... did anyone thought on the other side ---- MAYBE THE FAUJI FATHER DID NOT PLAN THINGS ACCORDINGLY AND HIS SWEET LITTLE INTELLIGENT GIRL HAD TO FACE THE REST

what we are discussing here should actually be a worry of government... if we study our constitution - right to education for all is not for higher education .... and even if the govt. does that i dont think it would be justified ... for many reasons /////

The offer from Mr. Dalal is truly respectable and appreciable ....

I personelly go with the idea of mr. chillar though he may have sounded non emotional to few but whatever he said has loads of truth in it :)

medical proffesion

hello every one,
i am new to this forum, and i maintain high regards for every ones views. but whenever some topic is being discussed i think we should talk regading that issue and reach upto some point wherw we can help our own people. be we are in india or abroad we should come forward to help this girl regading her medical education. after all this proffesion is still the best.
regards
