That May not be the Right Answer

Dear Prashant,

There is no doubt, that Ms. Mayawati has done a good job for her party and herself. She is much shaper a politician than Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav and off course a lot smarter than our Ch. Ajit Singh.

The point here is what about our state. Not only Western UP, but the entire state is suffering because of short term minority government. This time she has got the opportunity to lead a majority government. She is ambitious and has realized the power of taking every one along. But while doing so, she would not like to dilute her "Dalit" vote bank. The good point in favor of every politician is that in our country, most people vote because of the caste of the candidate rather than his/her ability to lead or credentials. It is because of this reason, Ch. Ajit Singh still manages his seat.

The issue should be, what we really want our State to be? What does that involve? And finally where do we start from. To make UP a stronger and prosperous state is a tough task, due to its size and population, but not impossible. We need to have a plan, and then will to execute it. Is it going to happen over night, "NO", The problem will be that many who will start will loose focus at the first opportunity. Others who are likely to loose their power will try to bribe this group.

I have seen many honest people in my life, but let me tell you the truth, many of them were honest because they never got opportunity to be "Dishonest",

There are a lot of issues involved, power, money, recognition, and ego. When you take a team along, where there is no military type law enforcement, it is difficult. It is because of this reason, many successful military commanders some times don't do well in private sector.

Let us talk about what we want, and how do we achieve it. That would be a good Brainstorming Session.

When you are in business with the Public, your success depends on your "CREDIBILITY". Once you loose that, you have lost every thing.

When you are "Opportunist", you loose Credibility.

Ajit Singh may not be the smartest politician and I am not expecting him to be honest either. But he is not a threat to the society like some other successful politician(Mayawati and Mulayam) are. He has never attempted to divide people based on caste or religion.

I won't say that he has a great career behind him, but he has always been a minister and had he not been opportunist he could never have become a minister. If people think Ajit singh has lost his credibility, they always have the option to vote him out.

I used to think that Mayawati is a smart politician, but look what she did some time ago. She had sent 10,000 soldier to arrest Mr. Tikait. Sir, world ke kis country me gali dene ki itni badi saja hoti hai? Tikat was not a terrorist. How can a sensible administrator spend millions just to arrest a sidha sada kisan.

coming back to Ajit Singh,
Ajit Singh smart nahi hai, ye koi burai nahi hai, haan lekin kamjori jaroor hai. Let me give an analogy here and I am not always good in that. but let me try:-
Every parent expect their kid to be the number one in everything, but that does not always happen. There will be one parent only whose kid is number one. Now I leave this question open for everyone "what should the other parent do"?

Here is my opinion:-
Ajit singh is one of us and we should continue to support him. woh kitna bhee be-iman ho fir bhee jat community ke liye baki sabse achcha hee rahega.

Tevatia Sir,
You have summarised it well regarding poster's question.Yes, I do agree with you that change or improvement cant be overnight. From your experience and knoweledge , What do you see the pragmatic solution of the problem that will arise with first opprtunity? How many times we will talk of some 'solid' solutions only instead of doing in real? Do you see any possibility of coming out of 'discussion induced utopia/eutopia'?

I found it acutely ironical that the race which had ruled the subcontinent at various eras of time in coded history; is now struggling severly for a 'regional representative'.A race which shares the pride and prominency in society for being brave at fronts , facing dilema over a 'fallen son' of a great man. Why?

Arun Kumar ji , Do you know who is John Galt ? There is no harm at being number two as well as far you retain it and striding towards top, so the other parents must nt get worried if their kids are not number in everything. You are sounding like more of an earlier BSP worker who used to shout and paint walls with slogans with 'Desh ki majboori hai; Kanshi ram jaroori hai'..Can be cited like in case of us jats..Western UP ke Jato ki majboori hai, Ajeet singh Jaroori hai.........Is it ? I do not agree with you that he is atleast good for jats.He doesnt possess the Jat character how he could lead jats then.? His dad didnt eye for ministries too early but wholistic upliftment of the race.

Ms Mayawati sent 10000 policeman to show MS Tikat the music but I saw the interview of his son turning purely defensive.Nowadays handful of gujjars are giving balls to entire police force even for wrong reasons. Who is better? you can decide easily.

My question to you respected people is ; For how long we will keep on looking 'feudal-ways' of leadership with in race?

Is it not the height of hyporcrisy here when criticise Ghandhis top to bottom over family leadership but seem to bite our tongue over Ajeet Singh?

Same is applied in Haryana.Why?

One good looking sophisticated gentleman used to be a member ( he still is i guess but invisible or loging in as guest ;)} of this site who has the crown of youngest MP of the country, seems Mom has rebuked him as hard question were asked here.lol.What is the advantage of being learned, literiate if one cant be strong enough to lead the race? I hope he is listening somewhere :D.

I was searching something fresh for future and I found this.He may turn in to same batch of politician but for the time being it was good to see one young blood determined.

Thanks.

Good reply Arun.

On a broader scenario ,What are the other options available for Jats if not Ajit Singh?

Dear Mr. Arun Kumar,

I admire your loyalty to the caste and the person. If that be the philosophy, then why talk about state, society and nation?

I have not said that Mayawati is the solution to the state's problem. Actually, none of these politicians who have been controlling the state government for past 20 years are the solution to the problem, infact they are the problem.

The solution to the problem has to start from neighborhood, villages and upward. First and foremost we have to unite at our village level. Do the needful to get our problems solved at our own level. If we keep looking up to these politicians for the solution to our problems, then we are just day dreaming. Cooperation at the village level is necessary. There would always be bad hats, we need to counter them with logic and in public.

Once we unite at the village level then we need to go beyond that. But if we are thinking of only Jats, then nothing can be done. Western UP is just not Jats. May be Jats may not be even in majority in Western UP. None the less, no society, state or nation can progress if we think about only one caste. We really need to broaden our viewpoint and outlook.

Regarding, Mr, Tikait Case. The issue had been discussed in great detail. This is a lesson to Mr. Tikait that you just can't keep saying whatever you feel like and whenever you feel like. If you are a public figure, and addressing the public, you need to be decent and graceful in talking. What Ms. Mayawati did was not right either.

I had mentioned earlier, that both Mr. Ajit Singh and Mr. Tikait have wasted great opportunities. If you consider them great leader, then by all means follow them.

It is interesting to read all what u have to say.. but i think i haave a totally different opinion.... well i think for everbodys infomation i should tell u that ajit sing has only 2 loksabha seats.. baghpat n kairana.. and he thinks he is the only one jat leader in western U.P.. when mayawati tried to arrest M.S.Tiket, the jat leaders of western up had a mahapanchayat where ajeet singh was also invited... but did he do anthing??.. acc to me just to get a few more votes he played the trick... and talking especially abt baghpat and surrounding ares.. this guy is taking us all down to the drains.. so how can u guys say that he is no harm to the community.. i think he is the biggest danger to the jat community of western up. n to answer the question where one of u asked what other options do we have... i think we have a lot many options.. like Sahab Singh Ex-M.L.A from baghpat, Gajendra Munna Ex-M.L.A from chaprolli.. Samarpal Singh Ex-M.L.A from Barnawa.. n many more from the area... but this guy would not let anyone come out n do some good for the commnity... n that is why these guys want Harit Pradesh... so that ajit sing could be the C.M n rule the area.... but i think everybody know his intentions and that is y he does not have the support for it....

Sir, I think one need not have to take things to one extreme or the other one. I have not said I consider them great leader.

and it is also not a good idea to generalize that all politician are corrupt, they are also people like you and me only(Jat or non-Jat)

anyway thanks for your comments.

I think ajit singh is all about baghpat only!!! n yes 1 seat counts... this is keeping him alive in the politics and making us dead all over... n i think it is very important to remove him for the upliftment of the communty.... talking abt mayawati... well i dont know.. may be she could do some good for the community.. but then u should have a few good jat leaders in BSP so that they could tell her... what we are!!! n what we are capable of!!

The one who is just confined to one specific caste or community or region only can never survive longer in Indian Pilitics.
We are happy of being him a Jat, but we need some Nationalised leaders.
He has got some calibre definitely but when compare to Mayawati...then no doubt he needs some more impact on UP's Social front & Social engineering.
Hope we would get the same soon.
His son Jayant an political aspirant lacks some charisma & seems little weak for UP Politics. He has to make his identity first.
The time of Hbl Sh Ch Charan Singh Ji was different & much dependent on Agriculture that time, but not there are lot many other issues to fight upon.

Dirty Politicians dont hv any cast, creed ...
They just practice dirty politics,
Ajit Singh is not an exception! period.

Jat Leader

I have gone through comments by various members & agree that Ajit singh is no good & Tikait is not worth mentioning as leader. We do need a jat leader, who can take care of our interest at state level & later at national level. However we got to b united, got to educate our lot & interact at different levels to reach a consensus. Our people start feeling shy in calling themselves JATS,when they achieve status. We have to make best use of plateform like Jat land to have better understanding & find a solution for various problems......Narendra Teotia
