I agree that chautala was more JAT supportive than hooda. But in INLD period there was no free lunch for anybody. JAT got jobs by giving bribe.
and how can you select totally underserving candidate only based on cast???.
it's better to have good persons in the system rather having any undeserving JATS.Castism is ok but upto some level. You can give preference to JAT over others if he has some qualities. Say u select teachers only because they are JAT then what will happens to students?? will students be able to do anything?
In hooda goverment also JATS also getting job but only those who has some qualities. there is no dout corruption and crime level decrease in Hooda goverment. here i am not supporting any political party. My point is simple who ever does better, give chance to him. There is no dout that hooda is much better CM than chautala

I found these lines very interesting. I think congress is doing same from last 60 years through Reservation. Please understand that Reservation is not poor and under privileged. IT IS A POWERFUL TOOL TO DIVIDE PEOPLE AND RULE THEM.. Majority of early congress leaders had British Education and they understood the British Psyche and they did the same..
This topic of reservation became so powerful that nobody has balls to speak against it. In 60 years, They put it in the mind of everybody that Reservation is the only ray of hope..
I think not more than 10 % jobs fall under reservation(Govt. Jobs) but still people can give their sweat and blood to defend the reservation.

It look so scary to me that how we'll come out of this vicious cycle. It looks like it may continue for another ages.
Reservation widened the gap between different castes and we can't fill it...

9. Why CONGRESS have ministers who have no
POLITICAL BASE like AMBIKA SONI , ANAND SHARMA
..........a big list...remember they are
CABINET MINISTERS.
If they come via BACKDOOR themselves they will
encourage this bad practice......CONNECTIONS!!!!!!!

A cabinet minister need not have a political base. In fact it is good, because that person does not have to please his/her constituency. It should be purely the experience of the person to handle the post, intellect that a person has and the educational back ground. Well when Ms. Rabri Devi can govern a state, I am sure those named by you may do a better job than that. Regarding connections, less we talk about better it is. Ch. Devi Lal brings Ch Om Prakash, Ch. Charan Singh brings, Ch. Ajit Singh, Ch. Ajit Singh brings Ch, Jayant, and Ch Om Prakash Chautala brings Ch. Ajay Chautala, and we object to Nehru and now Hooda dynasty??

Logics and assumptions don't work everywhere tevatia sir!!. I don't think u have any knowledge how ajit singh turned up in politics. It was not chaudhary charan singh who brought him in politics..Plz get your facts right.:)

When I saw the thread for the first time, I was like here we go, election fever has started....arguments, emotions, allegations, preferences !!! everything is going to start...whether u like it or not this thread is started just to ignite some reactions within jatland community with no bigger purpose rather than to send the message that cogress is bad and other parties are better.....

What I would really like to see is a constructive discussion where you put two (or three) parties/leaders at the same platform and then discuss their merits and demerits. Not just saying ek ne park banva deye…Come on is that the best eg you can give (yeah also the pension one). It the discussion is not in the right format or right intention then it will go nowhere...but may be that is not the purpose here; but rather to show people yeah we support X party and we don't like that other party and brag it to friends (or people you wanna show off you).

I don't support any particular party and I think ye khel mein sabhi choor hei...the question one normally ask who is the lesser chor....I have never ever seen any body from our community actually anyone having a constructive discussion but rather just emphasizing that X party is good and keep fighting and bragging. When some senior members tries to answer the raised question not one really cares rather just discard it and keep going with there own story....

Bhai yu to apne state ye des ke tarriki nahi hone....put the self interest part aside and question everything , every policy, every ideology and when you are satisfied then only we can have a progressive society....yu chaplusi se kuch nahi hona....

ek baat aur, sirf JAT hei to vote kare jato ke party ko ya fir jats ko hei job mele ye to koi bat nahi hue....firstly you will forever be in debt to the guy who gave you that post plus free mein to vo bhe nahi dega....sara system kharab ho gata hei...I rather would like to see people investing time and money in providing good education, resources and opportunities to individuals and then the only thing you need is your own HARD work to get ahead in life....we have to create such environment where we don't have to bend for anyone other than for the people whom we respect...not to get things done for us or take favour....down the track in 15-20 years we can easily see the benefits of such system where only right people with right skill set are in position and they will promote the same ideology....sare jindge talve chaat chaat ke jina bhi koi jena nahe hei....

I might have use a bit harsh language so if anyone feels offeneded my apologies in advance….but I am sick of this same drama…I joined jatland many years ago and after a while stopped coming here for the same reason….as nothing constructive comes out of here….so lets have an educated argument and provide right direction to our community to take us ahead in life not backwards….

Cheers
Aman

Rightly Said!!

Dear Vaidwan Sahab,
You are right, "Logic Does not Work here". Any thing can only work if people believe in it. If people don't belive in Logic, how can it work, whether it is India, or any where else in the world. But then that is the problem.
Regarding my facts about Ch. Ajit Singh, Well, I am sorry for my poor knowledge on the subject, But Sir, it might be a good idea, if you could educate us on this subject, as to how Ch. Ajit Singh entered the politics. He contested his first election on the ticket of the party headed by Ch. Charan Singh who was sole authority to give tickets to the candidates contesting election on his party ticket. So, to a layman like myself, it looked that Ch. Charan Singh brought his into politics.
Since you know the facts, please share with us so that we also know them.

That is Real India

Dear Rakesh Ji,
Excellent pictures. That is real India. Ms. Mayawati can spend carores of Rupees on building statues of her own, but does not have money to build roads, or buy good weapons for the police of the state.
These are the questions, to be asked to leaders of all political parties, be it Mr. Hooda or Mr. Chautala.
It pains me when some one talks about "Chautala is more Jat supportive". Well, we need leaders who are supportive of "Aam Aadmi of India whether he/she is a Jat or non-Jat. India, as well as any state be it Haryana, Punjab, UP or Tamil Nadu, is not made of one particular community. It is India that gives us opportunity to practice our religion and culture, we are lucky, and we must preserve it. By promoting castism, we are ruining the country and will continue doing that.
We the older generation failed in raising our voice when it should have been. It is my request to the younger generation, to come out of politics of caste and religion and become "Nationalist", for you will be living longer than us. Let me ensure you, for the right cause, we the older people will support you, for not only you have an obligation to correct the system, you also have an obligation to build it for your future generations.

But we have witness that the price of any commodity is not governed by the demand supply rule. Otherwise how can the price of daal and sugar skyroket within a short span of time. After all the supply (read production) of these commodities did not come down in few days. So some other factors also play a very major role in the price mechanism. These are forward trading of commodities (as in the case of daal), statements of important persons (statement of Mr.Sharad Pawar regarding lower sugar production probably to benefit sugar lobby of Maharastra in view of the coming State Assembly elections refers), cartel by the players in the field, bad planning by Govt. (sugar is being exported at almost one third price (Rs.14 per Kg) than is available to domestic consumers)

Just to be clear, this is not in defense of any party.

On specific issue of price rise, I will agree that other factors can play a role. But I don't agree with your logic to rule out demand/supply forces in case of sugar. It is not only the current demand/supply that determines the price but also the expectation of future demand/supply. With the drought condition in Western UP, which is the sugar bowl of India, the expectation of future supply has gone down significantly. And it is not as if the price is rising only in India. The price rise has been seen all across the globe. You can get more facts about that here:

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601116&sid=aw_sgosG_0YM

I don't know who will be an idiot to export sugar at one-third of the price when he can get a much better price within India. Even if we assume he is guided by a mission to reduce diabetes amongst Indians, he can still get the same price abroad as well. Can you please shed more light on this Rs 14/kg sugar being exported?

Finally on forward trading, if promoted in a correct way, it only benefits both the farmers and the consumers. The farmer, if he has access to forward trading, can lock in a price before starting production, thus insuring against a price fall when he has to sell. The consumers can similarly lock in a price if they fear price rise. Thus it actually helps to fight against middle-men and hoarding. The problem is when a few traders are able to manipulate the forward market, something that can be avoided by making the market more liquid by allowing more and more participants (ideally the farmers/retailers themselves) rather than restricting it.

Tevatia sir, my apology if i had hurted you by any mean. This particular reply of yours differ from your original writing style. Am i right?? It seems you are losing ur calm . I don't understand why are u using words like "sahab" "sir". It is some kinda sarcasm or anything else. Anyway, Ajit singh was elected first time for loksabha in 1989 and chaudhary sahab had passed away in 1987. Chaudhary sahab never wanted him in politics bcz ajit singh had been in US for a long time, was never active as a partyworker at ground level, unaware of the needs/demands of the farmers/labourers. It were the Jats of western UP who dragged chaudhary ajit singh in politics.

I don't Lose Calm!

Dear Mr. Vaidwan,
I am not losing my calm. Addressing people with respect irrespective of their age, is my way of looking at things. Unless, I know someone personally, I do address them in similar manner.
Thanks for clarifying the issue. But coming on to the double standards we all have in judging people, we object when Rahul Gandhi/Rajeev Gandhi enters the politics, but don't you think that Mr. Jayant Chaudhary falls in the similar category. (if not Ch. Ajit Singh)
Similarly, we the people who believe in personality cult, do the most damage to the system. I fail to understand as to why the so called leaders did not develop their successors. If Lok Dal, INLD, or whatever party Ch. Ajit Singh is in today, are a democratic set up, how come we don't have different presidents of the parties? When did they have election last time for the party post. To me it looks no different than a family business, and we the people think that they are "Pro Jat" or "Pro Haryana/UP" or "Pro India". To me they are nothing but "Pro Business". and that is the point I want to bring out.

Well Sir here i have a doubt
Agricultural land is shrinking day by day reason like CM Haryana did (Aquirement of agricultural land) Why he did so?
So that he can show/bring development to his district.
We have acres and acres of barn or unfurtile land. If you go to bhiwani from bhiwani to rajasthan border you will find agriculture depends on monsoon only but land in Bohar baliyana and kheri sadh village is very fertile canals are there and ground water is also not so deep.
Why our hon'ble CM selected Bhiwani for IMT?

Firstly, I don't know why and how Bhiwani was selected for IMT. There may have been politics or good intentions behind the decision- I don't know. So I am not commenting on that.

But the general theory that only unfertile land should acquired for non-agricultural purpose is good only on a stand-alone basis. If you take this argument to a logical extreme, we would only have farmlands in certain areas and industries/townships in other areas. Then people from farmlands areas would complain (rightly so) that they have not seen any "development".

It is much more difficult and a much bigger project to develop a stand alone township from nowhere. Most of the "development" activities would happen closer to existing towns/cities. A new industry needs labor, good connectivity and facilities for its staff. Which are available next to major population centers with some basic infrastructure. If there is a choice between fertile and non-fertile land, then it is a no brainer to acquire non-fertile land. But if the non-fertile land is not economically feasible because of its locational disadvantage, then fertile land has to be acquired.

One thing India can't be accused of (yet) is over-industrilaization. Seventy percent of our population is still dependent on agriculture, which is unsustainable. If you can provide employment to 1000 families by acquiring land of 100 families (After compensating them well), what's so wrong about it?

Also, when you have to build an educational/vocational institute or even a residential township, you have to see where is the need/demand of that thing. Again, let me clarify, I am not sure how far are these unfertile lands from Bhiwani (If they are right there next to Bhiwani, then you are right). But say they are more than 50 kms off, would you get faculty/admin staff willing to relocate? Would you get students? Would it be effective for either students or staff to travel huge distances? These are significant issues. Even places like IIT Kharagpur or IIM Kolkata (Which is far off in a village called Joka), are below other IITs/IIMs in terms of students'/staff's preferences, despite having excellent infrastructure on campus.

Respected sir,
I know that castism is not good for anybody. i am not a supporter of Castism. But somewhere these things becomes the part of our system. I personally faced these things.
After B tech i was jobless. As you know appraoch is necessary to get job anywhere.I applied for teaching in one of the engineering college.i went to person(i don't want to narrate whole incident) who was pandit and is in management of college. He did not help me because I was a JAT.That incident affects me a lot.
I took admission in Master's last year. It was my 1st day in the institution. I was keeping my luggage in hostel. I met with one person whose son got AIR was one in GATE exam. He asked me from where I am? what is my rank?I told him I am from Haryana and my rank is so and so. Then he asked me: are you JAT? I replied him ''han, Uncle ji". His immediate said "JAT bhi kab sae padna lage" Sir, you can imagine the mentality of that person about our cast.
Such things force us to think.
Sir you said rightly we have obligation not only to change the system, but to made it for future generation. I will definitely try to avoid such things when my turn will come

Buddy.. I was talking about total jobs available in market.. Eg: Out of 100 jobs hardly 10 jobs are in govt sector. If there is 50% reservation in these 10 jobs, it comes to 5 jobs out of 100 jobs available are reserved..

Those stupid guys don't understand this maths and they'll keep on fighting for those 5 jobs rather than upgrade their skills to grab share from those 90 available in pvt. sector..

Unfortunately.. Congress will keep on playing this card and they'll keep on winning the elections..

Private Naukri karni bohot okha kaam hain.

Jo sarkaari naukri ke baare mein soche hain..unka dimag doosra te bohot ghana hai...

Future main dekh liye..private aala ka haal...

Kuch to JET Airways ke GOYALE ne dikha diye tever...baki..

BTW a JAT (metro JAT, after knowing that i was not from a city but from a village) had a look (and subsequent conversation which was far away from appreciation or disbelief or even neutral. [as if it all the JAT settled in villages are total ganwaar and uneducated]... :D.
so these things do happen, and not to be taken seriously.
when in doubt what to say: Laugh out loud ;)

JAT should ask for separate STATE.

Why not ask for a separate PLANET ??

think bigger!! :D

Bhai, very soon there will be reservation in private sector, just google the topic and see how many ministers have urged (threatened) 'private sector' to provide reservation (albeit in some fancy words: Private sector has a moral obligation to provide opportunities to those deprived of it for a long time. participation of these 'left behinds' is essential in nation development. Do it voluntarily or govt may have have to force it) :)
At all SC BC karta-dharta meetings, extension of reservation to private sector is demanded.

and why m sure it will happen soon. Read your 2nd statement in quotes!!
