Agree on whatever you wrote for Bansilal except above paragraph. But Surender Singh was nowhere even in comparision to Chaudhary Bansilal.
Surender made many mistakes in his political/social career. It was not Bansilal's honesty but Surender's mistakes and closeness to mafia which had put Bansilal in trouble. Everyone knows the "Riwasa Kaand", Closeness with Liquor mafia like "Satpal Pahadi" and other goons who were killed in encounters later.
About Bansilal family's future, today Kiran is strongest among all. If she can not bring back the power center to herself, no one else in Bansilal clan can.
Yeh kaand -vaand sab ke time mein hue hain. They mean as much as you want them to mean. Whether a politician is honest or not-- media, corrupted beaurucrats, corrupted opposition leaders, selfish businessmen etc.: all the people who have stake in the power/ money will try their best to defame the person in power.
Surendra was a well liked leader. Ab ussne private life mein kya kiya, na mein jaanta hun aur na aap. he was a leader since before you were even born. You make your conclusions from what you have heard from here and there.
anyways kiran is a useless person. she was never with bansi lal. satpal pahaari was a goon of kiran and he was killed not in an encounter but by his own relative in his own house over a land feud. pahaari was not under arrest during that timeand was in his own house. (from media reports of what i remember) it does not matter either ways.
problem with bansi lal was that he would not allow wrong things to happen under him.
it is one thing to be clean and not corrupt, but another thing to turn a blind eye towards MLAs under you and let them fill their pockets. bansi lal did not let that happen and that is why they ran as they thought that their business/ job is in danger
but like many other aaya rams, most had their political careers finished in any case
as far as i know, surender was torn between his fathers great image and personna and his wife who had her own crooked ways, but in himself, he was a dynamic leader. The number of people who attended his funeral in bhiwani was unbelivable. That was how much people loved him. particularly in bhiwani
surender ofcourse was not as great as his father i totally agree. you will see that in all 2nd and 3rd generation politicians now.
look at devi lal and then chautala and then the 2 young goons of your generation...there is a difference greater than zameen-aasmaan. Chautala and company have taken devi lals name and burried his image so deep in mud that it is hard to even imagine now what it was.....
some nice people like sampat singh have opted out after their whole life time in lok dal as they could not even breathe in that environment. chautala is a corrupt dictator and should never come to power. the only soft corner i can have for him is that he is a JAT, but having said that, his actions have been low in life and very unworthy of his father.
these things are expected as life in general and social values have changed a lot. so have the values of people judging these politicians
