बालक तो हैं कोन्या मर्रे इब्ब तक, पर जब भी होवेंगे... हरयाणवी बोलण तै रोकण की बात तो दूर .. मैं तो एक्स्ट्रा क्लास लिया करूँगा हरयाणवी सिखाण की जै जरुरत पड़ी तो !!
बहोत सारी इस्सी चीज़ हैं जो हिंदी में या अंग्रेजी में ना कह सकते, जूकर:
परहे ने मर ले ने ... क्यों खोवे चढ़ रया सै, (side please);
यो किसी की इस्सी-तीसी होई रै याड़े... (what happened here),

बात का नाश सा हो ज्या सै, जै ट्रांसलेट कर के बोली जा तो! मतलब स्वाद ना आते बातचीत में

एक भाई नै दिल्ली जा कै दूकान खोल ली हरियाणवी सिखावन
की . बोर्ड पै लिख दिया तीन महीने मैं गारंटी तै हरियाणवी सीखें .
इब एक छोरा आवन लाग गया उस धोरे . वो छोरा एक महीने
बाद ही बोल्या की जी मने तो हरियाणवी आगी बोलनी . इतने मैं
उस मास्टर जी के गाम आला एक ताऊ आगया . चा पानी पि कै
ताऊ बोल्या -- रे छोरे मैं थोडा सा शहर मैं काम जा कै आऊ सु
यो मेरा झोला और चादर धरी सै आडे . ताऊ के जाये पाछे उस मास्टर
नै उस छोरे तै बुझी के कह था भाई की मने हरियाणवी आ गी .
छोरा बोल्या -- जी हां . उस मास्टर नै स्याही आला पैन ले कै ताऊ की
चादर जो कुर्सी पै पड़ी थी उस पै सारी पर कै पैन झिड़का दिया . और
उस छोरे तै बोल्या -- इब हरियाणवी मैं बता मने यो के करा .
बोल्या -- जी ताने चादर पै स्याही छिड़क दी .
मास्टर बोल्या या हरियाणवी ना हुई इब तने ताऊ आके बतावे गा
हरियाणवी कयुकर बोली जाया करे .
इब २ घंटे पाछे ताऊ आया और चादर देखते ही आग लाग गी गात मै .
छो मै आके बोल्या -- या किसकी मेरी सासु आले की इसी -तीसी हुई है

I think Jaatoo is a fantastic language because it signifies boldness and upfrontness. In my humble opinion, parents should not discourage children from learning this dialect but should ensure that their children are well conversant in globally applicable language i.e., english. In short, learn jatoo but not at the cost of english.

Haryanvi is must

Dear,

it is ok that children should speak n write Hindi and English fully fluent but beside that they also be fluent in their own motherland language Haryanvi. Hindi and English both necessary to execel in careers. most of our jats have problem of language and because of language problem they are not able to do better even after a good exposure. It is better to make fluent our children in English and Hindi. I have the same problem of communication with me. Because of betterment children parents try their best to learn them English and Hindi.

baki bhai jisa haryanavi me bat marna me suwad aave hai usa kisi bhi cheej me na aata ar kai bar jeet Hindi/Egilish Kam na aati ude Haryanavi kam aave hai.Kite Role hove paache bheed ne pad ne kam haryanvi e aave hai.

i am also learning gud haryanvi word on thid site. as born and broughtup in faridabad where dialect is not pure hjaryanvi i had some problems. but i learn here. thanks friends and bros.

I do agree. My son was born and brought up in Delhi till he was 8 years old and then we migrated to Canada. He is now 18 years old and he speaks good Haryanvi because we speak this language at home.

Dear Deepak, I don't think there is any relationship between learning history with language. Parents along with their children used go in traditional temples(gama main mandir main aur apni jo maan ho sae). They always told stories of elders to their children. I think that's the history you are talking about.
Anyway, if you are talking about some thing else then also language doesn't matter. In many of Schools, Indian History is taught in English where as our history is in Hindi. Ramyana and Mahabharta are taught in Hindi while originally available in Sanskrit. It doesn't mean we are disrespecting Sanskrit or forgetting history. It's a change comes with time. We have to accept these changes.

I am not against Haryanvi. I respect my mother tongue and our culture. I am strong supporter of Haryanvi language But try to understand the intention of parents behind this latest trend. Nobody can allow his child to lag behind others for Haryanvi language. Our young generation have to compete with rest of world. Hindi/English are demand of future. That's what parents are realizing and forcing children to use Hindi/English for communication. Along with these if child can learn Haryanvi then it's well in good otherwise leave it. My point is simple Hindi/English are must for good future and Every parent wants to see his child successful. There is no harm in that.

these days kids are so smart they know how and when to speak hindi only without any desi (haryanvi tone).my son is more comfortable in speaking english but i try to converse only in hindi and haryanvi with him.he undestands haryanvi and i am sure one day he will be able to speak it fluently like us.here in usa i have seen families whoes kids speak only in english and haryanvi .sikh kids speak punjabi with proud wherever they go.we should be proud of our language and if we wont teach them now they will never learn later.

In India, in majority of cases, condition is totally opposite. Children learns haryanvi themselves. No need to teach them haryanvi. But they are not fluent in English/Hindi. Here parents waits for the day when child can speak fluent English/Hindi like others(means like your son). Parents are trying to provide the environment for learning English/Hindi. In many cases, parents themselves are not fluent in hindi but still they are using it for their children.
