Lastly I also second that; we all should help South Carolina...er-r, I mean South Africa; it just makes up for great pageantary!!!....:D

Locations and cinematography was superb though..the jungle n flora..was heaven..

Sherlock Holmes- 4.5/5.00

A treat from Guy Ritchie for all fans of "observation and deductive reasoning."
Minus 0.5 for a little bit of predictability..........or is it deductive reasoning at work!!!!

(P.S. : I am partial to Guy Ritchie, Robert Downy Jr. and Holmes...)

Jennifer Aniston looked 'bored' (.. and old) in movie. Aaron Eckhart is good (though no Harvey Dent here).

Watch it... if there is nothing better to do!!

The whole movie was predictable but the special effects were awesome.
I would suggest anyone who wants to watch it - watch it in IMAX 3-D theatre.

3 idiots: Idiotic movie... All those so called 'jokes' were old... already heard somewhere... no originality in this aspect!! come on... who have not heard the joke or seen youtube video about student taking extra time during exam and then stowing his answer sheet in the heap!! Ah! so lame... i almost flinched :(.
could not help but to see many similarity with Munna Bhaai MBBS.. Sarman Joshi jumping from the building ala munnabhaai, Khaddus director/Dean (.. lo same Boman sir again), affair with institute head's daughter, emotional melodrama in the end, Ragging scenes!!
Anyways, Sanjay Dutt was more convincing as MunnaBhai than Aamir as Rancho. Sharman joshi was ok. Aamir Khan is better in many commercials (those with Gul Panag) than in this movie.
Probably the finest performance is from the guy called 'Chatur' in the movie.... best scene is 'Hindi' lecture on teachers' day!!

Nowhere near the hype: 1/5. Hirani got it wrong this time..

Every dialogue and most of the scenes were copyright from Engineering colleges.Most of us had already seen worst and good.
Arr wo INDUCTION MOTOR aali baat te bera na kitni purani holi.......
 
even the scene with a man clicking pictures of burqa-clad women!!!!!

Are bhai Akshay, what about the non-engineer guys? Unhone to nahi experience kiye honge ye dialogue . Let them enjoy it yaar ! :)

Guys, don't believe on Sunil's review here ! :p Last time he gave very good rating to Kameene movie n' it was one of the most pathetic movie I even seen ! :(

Yaar Sunil, I thought the movie was awesome. By the way, the things you are calling as repeatitive from Munnabhai (Sharman jumping, affair with diro's daughter, etc.) are not really from Munnabhai. This movie is based on 5 point someone, Chetan Bhagat's novel based on my alma mater, IIT Delhi. Though these people made wholesale changes to the book, still many of the incidents were from the book.

Even though I knew the jokes on induction motor, et al.- I couldn't stop laughing. Atleast it is a refreshing change from the slapstick humor that is usually served in bollywood movies. I thought the story was very well executed and there was a very good message as well. I may be a bit biased as it was shot in IIMB campus, but I don't think they make it much better than that.
