How much does salary affect in arrange marriage.

shivam, salary ka pta hona jruri hai.jitni jyada hogi utna acha.
time badal chuka hai.pahle kya hota tha ki ladke ki family ke baare mai, uske chaal chalan ke baare mai pta chal jaya karta tha.
aajkal pta na chal pata.family ke cocail status ka pta chal bhi jaye to ajkal to achi family ke ladke bhi glat raste par chalte hai(pahle kam tha ye).
jaise ki filmo mai dikhaya jaata hai.pahle negative character alag se hi dikh jata tha.aajkal to waha bhi negative character jyada professional and handsome dikhta hai.wesa hi kuchh aaspaas bhi ho raha hai.
jaisa ki sunita ji ne kaha, fake bhi bta deta hai.recently 1 shadi hui thi ladke ke paas Mtech ki degree thi.baad mai pta chala ki polytecnic ka diploma hai bas real mai to.

aise koi parents nahi hote jo apni ladki ka bura chahte ho.koi kam salary waale se kar bhi shadi to humi logo mai se kayi mil jayenge kahne wale ki kya shadi ki ladki ki.ladki ki care hi naa rahi hogi.
jaise-2 needs , samaj badalta jaa raha hai.wese-2 hi in sab ki importance jyada hoti jaa rahi hai.

Gone the days, jab gaon ki ladkiya job waale se ye kahkar shadi na karti thi ki "mujhe na karni sarkaar ke naukar se shadi".aaj sab ko job chahiye and achi job.mujhe isme kuchh glat bhi nahi lagta.
mujhe aaj bhi yaad hai meri daadi ji btaya karti thi ki unki chhoti sister ne teacher se ye kahkar shadi ka mna kiya tha ki iski shadi to jyada jameen waale se kar di aur meri sarkaar ke naukar se karoge. :) :) :) :)

Baat thari sahi hai.

Ek baat jo maine notic kari hai ki ladaki wali sab kuch poochh-taachh karke hi ladake walo ke ghar aate hai. Fer wahi sawal doharate hai !!

I feel this disrespect to the person they asked already. And in return if their daughter is working they never tells the salary; thats I consider as insulting behavior to the boy.

ye baat sahi hai ki baar-2 poochhte hai.lekin thoda sa unke baare mai bhi socho.
ladki waala ladke ki sundarta ko kitni baar dekhta hai.1 baar dekha ki ladka theek dikhta hai.ladke waale ladki ko kitni baar dekhte hai.kabhi ye relative ,kabhi wo relative.isme ladki and unki family ko kitni insult feel hoti hogi.
ye konsi baat hui bhai ki beauty bhi ladki ki matter kare and salary bhi.ladki eduacted ho.dikhne mai achi ho ,job karti ho to is baat se jyada fark nahi padta ki uski salary 20 hai ya 30k.but ladke ki salary mai itna diff ho to fark padta hai.

Earn less than 50k? Marriage's tough, dude

The survey, conducted among 5,000 respondents in India was based on parameters like working hours, professional stress, sector culture, field trips, shifting base, etc. It also interestingly revealed that marketing professionals were the least sought after life partners. The dynamics of partner preference have only begun changing post recession in India, says Savita Dutta, a matchmaker based in north Delhi. She adds, "Parents in India lay utmost emphasis on a stable future, and of late the fascination for IT professionals has reduced in that respect. IT jobs are not as stable anymore, especially at the starting level, and those guys find it the toughest to find partners of their choice. Mid-level managers are still better off."

But the preference for finance professionals is primarily there because it's assumed they earn handsome packages, courtesy their industry. Says Sakshi Chawla*, 23, "I was initially engaged to a guy who had his own business, but we never saw common ground and split. I am now married to a finance professional who has lived alone abroad, earned a lot of money, and is able to lead a certain kind of lifestyle."

The lifestyle that women need is not something that software professionals are able to provide at times, says Geetika Kapoor, mother of two and a rookie matchmaker. She says, "My husband is from the IT field, and I understand the kind of time constraints people in this field have. The hours are crazy. When I started suggesting matches for people, I noticed that many girls who are software professionals themselves would not want their partners to be from the same field." Says Kapoor's daughter, Garima Kapoor Vohra (28), an IT professional, "I know the kind of hours we had to put in and I was not keen on getting married to someone who had the same kind of schedule. It's sustainable for a few years, but after that one cannot continue with the crazy hours."

Perhaps the "crazy hours" are a big consideration for women because the survey also reveals that even though nearly 80% of the women are willing to work after marriage, 50% of them might call it quits after having a child. Also, when it came to income expectations, nearly 70% of the women expected their spouses to earn between `50,000 and 1 lakh per month. Almost 20% wanted to marry a man earning more than `1 lakh per month. Says Sakshi Khurana (59), "While we were looking for a match for our daughter, we wanted someone who could guarantee a stable future for her. And salaries of `30,000-50,000 are so common these days. Also, since our daughter was anyway earning almost `40,000, we wanted someone who would bring home a pay packet of at least `70,000-80,000."

Hmmmm :p!!

Spend Rs 32 a day? Govt says you can't be poor

NEW DELHI: The Planning Commission told the Supreme Court on Tuesday that anyone spending more than Rs 965 per month in urban India and Rs 781 in rural India will be deemed not to be poor. Updating the poverty line cut-off figures, the commission said those spending in excess of Rs 32 a day in urban areas or Rs 26 a day in villages will no longer be eligible to draw benefits of central and state government welfare schemes meant for those living below the poverty line.

The Planning Commission suggests that spending Rs 5.5 on cereals per day is good enough to keep people healthy. Similarly, a daily spend of Rs 1.02 on pulses, Rs 2.33 on milk and Rs 1.55 on edible oil should be enough to provide adequate nutrition and keep people above the poverty line without the need of subsidized rations from the government. It further suggests that just Rs 1.95 on vegetables a day would be adequate. A bit more, and one might end up outside the social security net.

People should be spending less than 44 paise on fruits, 70 paise on sugar, 78 paise on salt and spices and another Rs 1.51 on other foods per day to qualify for the BPL list and for subsidy under various government schemes. A person using more than Rs 3.75 per day on fuel to run the kitchen is doing well as per these figures. Forget about the fuel price hike and sky-rocketing rents, if anyone living in the city is spending over Rs 49.10 a month on rent and conveyance, he or she could miss out on the BPL tag.

32 rupees mei to 1 litre dhodh bhi nahi aata bharat mai..aur baaki ka kharcha kahan gaya..Rent, other commodities, health care, etc...innai RS 32 a day waale aadmi well off bata diye...Government ke hisab se to 50 k per month wala bahut hi ameer aadmi hoga :)

Sarkar to Neembu ki sinkanji pyana chahwe hai sabne, arr wa bhi saare din :)

Bhai this planning commission is headed by a well known and respected economist "Montek Singh Ahulwalia". What is more surprising is another renowned chief economist "Manmohan Singh's", Prime Minister Office approved these grossly inaccurate figures!! According to these figures, they draft a report on people below poverty line and then allocate Government budget based upon that!

Ye log to ab ye chahte hai, ki Poverty Line ke neeche wale fayade bhi MPs and MLAs ko Mile.

Ye fir apna sab kuch bech kar, ristedaaro ke naam sampatti karwa kar gareebo ki shreni me aana chahte hai.

Kuch bhi karlo, is congress ka to ant bura hi hona hai.

Baaki Government har saal nyu report kaade hain ke..is saal itne logg BPL tai upar aage..in stats ke chalte to ye agle kuch saal mai saare desh nai garibi rekha tai upar bitha denge :D.

PS:MLA/MP nai salary tai ke karna hai..Upar aala sauda nipat ja thoda sai.
