..few things that our community need to change - attitude towards profession and education.
PROFESSION:
there are few professions that are still Untouched by our community.among one is business. i hv seen very less jat ppl doing good business. farming,army,police,teaching are still among the favourite professions of jat community. these are the professions that are hurdles to our progress..from generations we are stuck in these professsions nd finally giving nothing new to our next gen. overall improvement is zero. dada served in army as,dad served in army nd now son is also trying to get in army..net gain for three generation is zero..no improvement..
now also i hv seen young guys preparing hard for army and police because they are scared to try other profession y because we taught nothing new to them.
every third jat person they see is also trying the same. now we hv restricted ourself to these professions and are feeling comfortable..but let me tell u this comfort is of short time. in coming time we will be out of race. let me ask u,hw many times u hv seen gupta,garg,jain preparing to enter army or police.. if any,u will not find below I.P.S..
EDUCATION:
definite improvement i hv seen but still weak in rural areas. leaving study after 12th or graduation.marrying early and then again to fields that father did. again everybody want their son to become engineer or doctor. i hv seen many students wasting three to four years preparing for medical and engineering exams in coaching centers,pressure from parents side,disappointment, finally home. u hv to ask ur child want he/she wants,let them make their own choice nd never hesitate to go for career counselling.
NON DIPLOMATIC ATTITUDE(STRAIGHT FORWARDNESS):
history is telling that all the great jats were excellent diplomats - MAHARAJA SURAJMAL is one example..with his diplomatic skills he survived well in tough times nd came out as a great jat ruler. o.k forget about past,in present nd coming time we should change our attitude. we hv to acquire good skills of diplomacy. i never hesitate to show diplomacy in decision making times(many of my fellow jat frnds call me MUTANT JAT,but they all are proud of my skills because ultimately it benefit us all,but i tell them that i m not mutant jat ,i m just an improved breed of jat..ha.ha ha)..
discussion should go on...
..i request col.fateh sahab to plz not to take my words otherwise(about army)..i just want to see an ORS son to become army officer..then again his son at an higher post.. improvement in each generation..
I would like to reply to you in an order of education(Which is central),profession and than I will come Attitude.
I said education is central, what you choose to study is more likely to decide your career or profession. Once you get into a profession, it is the nature of the job or work which makes a person behave in a certain manner. So I think I am not wrong if I say Education decides your profession which in turn defines your behavior(Diplomatic or not).
Now apply this to our community,you are right in saying that most of the people are in armed forces. So let me tell you my friend, while Britishers were ruling they realized that Jats are to be treated smartly as they are a specie with brain and power. So that time they were mostly put into armed forces to utilize there power, but not given any big posts where they can utilize there brains. More of same is continuing these days, I am not saying situation has not improved but yeah it will take sometime as people are more aware and aiming high these days. I think talking about gupta's and jain's is not relevant here. Point here is how to improvise not to make a comparison.
